Help with a cancellation

I have booked the Comfort inn LBV with travel zoo and got the $32.00 rate however we are now booked into a villa for all the trip so need to cancel.
I emailed the hotel direct but they said I needed to cancel with the service that I booked through i.e Travel zoo however there is no cancel option on their website.

Any ideas:confused3
 
Your reservation is with Travelzoo, not the resort. You need to reach them and see what the cancellation policy is (it may be no refund).
 
It says on my booking info

Cancellation policy:Hotel requires 24hours notice of cancellation to avoid penalty of 1st nights room and tax.

Also on my booking confirmation it was from reservations@comfortinnorlando.com
Which is why I emailed them direct,
Also I have not been debited for the cost of the booking but credit card details taken.
 
This place is NOT known for Customer Service

You are probably going to have to CALL and explain to them that TravelZoo was an AD and you booked on THIER website so THEY have to cancel. I doubt emails going to work with them LOL!


Travelzoo does NOT book hotel rooms it's an ad service not a TA. But the front desk at this hotel has never been well trained LOL!

You might try going to the comfortinn website and doing it online.

None of that matters. You are buying through an agent and it's the agent you have to deal with to cancel. That is typically the way hotels/resorts handle "bulk" sales of rooms which is what the agencies buy, markup and sell to you. The hotel/resort agrees to the deeply discounted price they get because they DON'T have to deal with reservations, no shows, etc. The agency they sell the bulk rooms to handles that. You have to email/talk to the booking agent.

No you are NOT buying through an agent. You clicked through an advertisement. Different deal. You bought through the Comfort Inn. TravelZoo is not a TA, just an "ad" service!
