I`m planning on going to Disney World this November for about six days...I have no idea who to book with. Any suggestions...

We used a travel agent the first year and we have used Disney ever since..we like being able to call disney directly with any changes or questions...if you use an agent you don't have that option...everything has to go through that agent and you may be stuck waiting for them to call you back or email you with an answer..I like having direct access to my reservation info through disney.

We did the same thing. Our first trip we went with an agent and now we do it all ourselves.

Does disney arrange flights or transportation my problem is that im going on a cruise and it ends in miami and thats when I want to go to disney...im so confused on how to do this

You can book the flight directly with airline and Disney you can book directly as well. Southwest and JetBlue have nonstop flights out of Buffalo in November for $69.00 or $159.40 return incl taxes.

If you choose to use a TA, I would pick a TA who specializes in WDW travel.
There are many, Dreams Unlimited, Ears to You, Mouse Fan, Instant Impressions, to name a few.

Is your cruise leaving from Miami as well as returning there?
I often book a multi city fare because I fly into Ft. Lauderdale first to visit family, and rent a car to drive up to WDW. Then I fly home from Orlando.
If you book the air yourself, the airline sites have a Multi-City option.

I prefer booking air myself, regardless of if I use a TA to book WDW. I like to watch the fares so I can get seat sales. Kayak.com is a good site.

If you book with a WDW specialized TA, they can book flights if you wish. They will also know when WDW is coming out with discounts, and will automatically apply it to your res. If booking yourself, you'll have to do the watching.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

We went on a cruise out of Miami last year and went to WDW for a short hop. We took a taxi from the cruise port in Miami to the Miami airport and rented a car, then returned to Miami to drop off the car and left by air from Miami. By the time we figured out the drop charges for the rental car (leaving it at a different place than where you picked it up), it was worth the drive back to Miami to catch the flight home.

I say book everything yourself - Disney is great to deal with on a personal basis and TA charge a "booking fee" on flights now - our TA charges up to $42.00 per person depending on the airline.

And if you go with a TA make sure it is in Ontario (I see you are in TO). The reason, if there is a problem with the Travel Agency you will be covered by the Ontario government's tourism protection system. Use somebody else and they go out of business and you're out of luck.

The reason this is important is that until you check in (either hotel or ship)your TA owns your vacation reservation and if they go under so does your trip. Going with Disney is safe since they'll be around.

Hey there

Sent you an e-mail of the people we used. Disney Vacation Sepcialist just north of Toronto.

OK, I tried to send an e-mail but not working, try Fairy Tale Dreams and Destinations in Bolton, they helped us with our upcoming September trip...hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting the name of a specific travel agency

Enjoy your trips everyone!!

I would also recommend Fairytale Dreams and Destinations. We used them for
our last trip and Christine at Fairytale Dreams was GREAT!!!!

Too funny. That is who we are using for our upcoming trip! I have found them to be very helpful and on the ball with everything.

I know that Karly (and I'm sure the others as well) were up and working at the crack of dawn to apply the free dining to our reservation the morning it came out for the general public.

I also went through Christine from Fairytale Dreams and Destinations.
She is extremely knowledgable and dedicated. Christine has answered my e-mails on weekends, late at night, and she was on the phone before opening hours the morning free dining went to the general public (it started off as something exclusive to Disney card holders I think).

FYI: As a Disney specialist they do not charge their customers fees - they make their commissions from Disney.
