My husbands happy place is fishing, and mine is WDW. We usually stay at Fort Wilderness to have both. This year it is not in the budget. Any suggestions for a resort/condo/house that he can fish at near the mouse?

I know people fish at the lake in Sunset Lakes. There's only pool homes there. You'll find it on vrbo for Kissimmee. I have stayed there but have no personal experience with the fishing part.

I would guess the cabins are much more rustic than the Fort, but what about Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake? It is maintained by the City of Orlando and is really near Universal. We stayed there for a few days a few years ago in our RV and really liked it. Definitely fishing there (and disc golf, bike paths, swimming, playscapes). At a campground cabin you'll probably need to furnish your own linens and all of that, so not a resort in that aspect, but it might be worth a look!
