Hi all!! I am trying to book an ADR for dinner at Epcot
Here are all the places that are available for the time I need. I will be there with my three kids boys ages 13 and 10 and my daughter aged 7.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (my boys said they would not mind, my dd and I are having breakfast at CRT two days before, will the same princesses be at both places?)

Biergarten Restaurant
Les Chefs de France
Nine Dragons Restaurant
Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room
The Garden Grill Restaurant

My boys will have to eat off of the adult menu and the younger one is a bit picky. Which would be the best choice for our family?
Thanks!!

Off that list, I've only been to Biergarten and Garden Grill. We didn't really enjoy the food at the Garden Grill and it's a fixed menu, so no choices there. We liked Biergarten and plan to eat there again. It's a buffet and not very "German-ey" so your kids should find plenty to eat. You will be seated at a table with other people, unless you have party of 8, so take that into consideration.

We've only been to Biegarten and Garden Grill as well. We really like Garden Grill. The food is served family style, the restaurant slowly rotates, and the character interaction is great. If you enjoy character meals, I think you wille enjoy Garden Grill. It's one of the only character meals we consisitently repeat. The menu is pretty traditional: rolls, salad, turkey, beef, fish, mashed potatoes, and a few other sides, but it's good food. We love it! :thumbsup2

Rose and Crown is awesome and so is Le Chefs de France but with picky eaters its hard to say. Most places have nuggets and hamburgers for the picky ones.

Biergarten is a lot of fun. They serve a lot of standard German food (sausages, schnitzel, etc.) but it’s a buffet so even picky eaters should be able to find something they like. There’s a fun show with music and dancing that takes place during dinner.

Rose & Crown is wonderful. It’s the one restaurant that DH insists on visiting at least once every trip. They have typical English fare—fish and chips, pot roast, bangers and mash, cottage pie, etc. They also have a really delicious no-sugar-added fruit trifle as a dessert option.

Biergarten! Kids love it, and the buffet is huge with choices for everyone! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I would say Akershus or Garden Grill. There will be several princesses at Akershus, and if the boys don't mind, your DD will have a great time. The ambiance is nice, and there is a buffet as well as a menu to choose main dish. Garden Grill is fun for both boys and girls. It revolves, and the character interaction is great--Mickey spends time at each table signing autographs etc. The food is not bad--family style, not buffet, so you get to relax in your seat instead of walking back and forth with plates of food.

GARDEN GRILL!! We were very surprised to find that being our best meal at the World after reading a lot of reviews. The food was fabulous and the Character interaction was the best!

Agree with this poster :) We loved Akershush (but we had two girls at the time lol) food was top notch though.

Another vote for Garden Grill!!
You get a separate kids platter (everyone can share) that has many kid-friendly choices such as mac & cheese. It's nice to be served (but it is all-you-can-eat) and not have to get up for a buffet!

I'd pick either GG or Biergarten.

GG has great food and character interaction.

I haven't been to Biergarten in over 20 years (yikes how did I get that old?!:scared1:) and it wasn't a buffett then. I enjoyed the food though and I remember the show then being a real hoot!:dance3: I can still remember the drinking song that they sung "Ein, shvein, zupa!(sp?)", even though I couldn't drink yet, but my brother enjoyed it.:drinking1

Good luck.:goodvibes

Considering the age of your kids and the fact that you will have already done a princess meal with your DD, I would recommend Garden Grill.

The food is average, nothing fabulous but still enjoyable. The reason why it has my vote is because:

1- Served family style so you can just sit at your table and wait for characters! You do not have to worry about timing your trips to the buffet in order not to miss characters.

2- Character interaction is great. My DD loves to get Chip going by asking him if his name is Dale! Chips tends to get "annoyed" :headache: when you mistake him for his friend! Also, the last time we were there, Dale "borrowed" our water spray bottled that we had sitting on the table and started a "water fight" with Chip. My DD was :rotfl2:

3- The restaurant revolves, my DD gets a kick out of that everytime!

Hope that helps!

Out of those choses, I've only been to Akershus and Garden Grill.

Akershush is good, but you will likely see repeat princesses.

I don't at all like Garden Grill. In fact, it's probably my worst dining experience in WDW ever. But I'm in the minority about that restaurant.
