Help! Where should I have my 40th birthday dinner

My family and I are going to WDW to celebrate my 40th birthday. I cannot decide where to eat my birthday dinner. Does anyone have any suggestions? We will be going to Epcot that day, but are flexable in leaving to eat my birthday dinner elsewhere. Thanks!

40th birthday with the family...

I'd go to Teppan Edo! That's where we spent my DH's 41st birthday and we had a great time. The kids were entertained the whole meal by the chef cooking at the table and the staff gave my DH a chef's hat and sang happy birthday to him. I'm pretty sure that they brought him a special dessert too, but I can't remember what it was. Too much wine!

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Narcoossee's and had a magical dinner. My son enjoyed it too b/c he loved watching the boats come by and see the monorail from where we were seating. We were able to see the fireworks too. They brought out a special birthday dessert and had my name and saying happy 40th birthday on a special menu.
It was a magical birthday. Have a wonderul trip.

You really have a lot of good choices being right at Epcot for the day. What kinds of food do you like to eat? I really like the Coral reef, but service can be hit or miss depending if you get there at a busy time. My suggestion for Coral reef would be to get there right when it opens at 11:30 and you will be assured of a less rushed experience. But, I think you said you wanted a dinner recommendation, a previous poster suggested Teppan Edo which could be fun, especially with your family. One suggestion, if you go for the steak there, you can upgrade to filet (OOP if on the DDP) for $7 extra! Will you be on the dinning plan? If no, then I would suggest the Chinese restaurant the Nine Dragons. Really, you can have a great time at most of the restaurants at Epcot! Let us know what you decide!

We did the California Grill for my 40th. We had a great table with a fantastic view of the Wishes fireworks! They took our picture and emailed it to us a week later. It's a night I will never forget.

Ohana! Great atmosphere, awesome food, and you can ride the monorail to the Polynesian

I spent my 30th bday eating in cinderellas castle for dinner it was just magical that all i can say

I would say Yachtsman at the Yacht club. It was hands down the best meal and service we had. It is a Signature restaurant, so pricey and 2 TS credits if you are on dining plan, but it was a spectacular meal!

I had my 40th at Tutto Italia. We will be going back for DD 14th and DS 21st!

I second Narcoossees - That's were I spent my 40th Birthday too!
Such a wonderful atmosphere - formal but fun!
I received a personalized menu and we also had a custom cake delivered.
My favorite part though, was watching Wishes from their deck. The music/soundtrack is broadcast over the speakers located right above your head.

Take the boat over to the Dolphin and try Todd English's Blue Zoo! The food is fantastic! Happy 40th!!!

Thank you so much for your suggestions. We have decided to eat at Epcot. My husband would like to try San Angel Inn. Has anyone eaten there before? I have always thought the the view of the volcano and river were beautiful, but I am not sure about the food. Any feedback would br greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

In Epcot, the best place would be at Bistro de Paris (upstairs in France).

I spent my 40th at the Yachtsman. It was delicious!

I spent my 41st at California Grill. The food was great and watching the fireworks from there was spectacular! Unfortunately, we had a bad server that night which dampened the fun a little bit.

We celebrated DH's 42nd birthday at Narcoosee's and it was good.
He loved the mussells appetizer and had the surf & turf.
I enjoyed my food too, but would get the whole lobster if I could do it again.

We are celebrating my DH's 50th at the Yachtsman in November. We haven't been there before but it gets great reviews. He is a real steak kind of guy so I think he will love it. I will probably order a cake as well. I'm sure you will have a great time at any of the Disney restaurants. We like the atmosphere at San Angel but don't think the food is that great.

We have always had a good experience at San Angels, particularly if we avoid the type of dishes we would find in a local Mexican restaurant. The food has been better if it has been a more unique offering.

Can't beat the ambiance!

Rose and Crown. Get an 8pm ADR.

Great food.
Have desert/drinks by the light of fireworks.
Finish your meal well after the park closes...and get to walk around a nearly empty EPCOT.

I too am interested for any recent feedback on San Angel Inn.........

We ate at San Angel Inn on Wednesday (July 14). Had a 2pm ADR. Food was delicious. Little disappointed that our server wasn't from Mexico, but she was friendly and prompt nonetheless.

Had to wait 5 minutes for our table. Had live music playing while we ate.
