We are planning a trip March 13-15 to Universal, and I've been checking teh website, and putting in APH as a promo code, but the best rate I can find is $294. I don't have an annual pass, but I'd be willing to buy one if it significantly lowers the rate.

(We'll be in Orlando for 9 days total, and the rest of my group will have 7 day passes, but we are staying in a house from 3/15-22/09for a reunion.)

Is there something I can do for a better rate? My dates aren't flexible at all.

Thanks

I went to the Universal Studios Orlando website, clicked on hotels, and right at the top was information about the super saver rates and the dates. Some dates don't have discounts available, so make sure to check your dates. :goodvibes

The best supersaver rates are available for 4 nights and up. The longer you stay, the bigger the per night savings. I go straight to www.loewshotels.com to make sure I get my Loews Youfirst credits. If you stay 4 nights at the RPH it is $203.65/night for March 13-17. $174 if you stay from the 13-18.

So 5 nights early June at HardRock came up to ~$900 after tax for family of 5 with super save rate. Is this a great rate??

I'm a Universal Newbie but thinking of visiting US instead of Disney this trip to save money....and my kids are a little older nowso will like the rides more [10,8,6].

Mine came out to $911 for 5 nights with the promo. Without the promo it came out to like $1563 or something around that...so to me it was a good savings.

Sorry- it came out to $1535 at HRH for 5 nights in early June without the super saver rate and $911 with- a savings of $624 which is super! :)

I'll take that savings any day! It's not "cheap" by any means, but we wanted to stay at one of the 3 hotels on property.

OK well I priced it out....

And for our family of 5 to stay May 30-June 6 [7 nights] at the Royal Pacific [least expensive]....

It's $1135.20 after tax

Then 7 days of passes are $94.99 * 5 + tax = $516.60

So total for7 nights is

$1651.80

I looked into the WDW 7 night deal [buy 4 get 3 free] and staying at POR [cheapest option for family of 5, though not 'deluxe'].
with 7 day base tickets and after tax

$1929.97

OFFSITE with 7 day base tix....

$858 WH condo [3br]
$1102.29 7 day base tx after tax [but not including any AAA discount]

Total
$1960.29

but will have to add ~$100 for parking I think
benefit is being able to cook and having 3 bedrooms.
