Help - what cabin can I expect ?

I booked cat 10 cabin on Disney Wonder 4 day cruise with large on - line TA, who told me my cabin # is assigned at the ship subject to availablity (with a possibility of an u/grade)......am I letting myself in for a nasty surprise here, and is there anything I should be doing to ensure I don't get put in the boiler room. While I don't expect anything better than a cat 10, I was alarmed to read that some cat 10's are under the disco...I really don't want to be under the night clubs....what would you do ?
Thanks...

Given you opted for "best available", as opposed to selecting a specific cabin, that is a distinct possibility. If the ship is a complete sellout, you won't even be able to switch while onboard. Since you don't expect any "free upgrade", why don't you just pick your cabin to put your mind at peace. A DCL cruise would be an expensive experimentation with your luck...

Were all the rooms sold out in that category so it is a guaranteed status room? That is what I have right now and I was told that I may find out my room number when I get my docs. Just to let you know, my parents stayed in a room right under the disco on the 2nd floor and they never were bothered by it at all. They loved their room!

Thats reassuring -
This is the exact text from the booking engine.

No specific cabins are available
A "guaranteed cabin" is the only cabin currently available in this category. A guaranteed cabin means that you are guaranteed a cabin in 10 and may receive a free upgrade. With a guaranteed cabin, you will receive your specific cabin number upon check-in"

I think I'll call them and see if I can pin down a cabin number, also get them to apply the first time cruiser on board credit?

Thanks for you help.

But wouldn't they give the upgrade to the people who booked earlier??? And then give you their cabins?

Not necessarily. If you already have a cabin assigned to you, most people don't want and /or expect to be changed. With all the research we do on the DIS boards to make sure we are happy with the cabin we are given, would you want that changed? Disney expects a certain percentage of passengers to cancel, especially at the 60 day mark. Most of the guaranteed status customers will receive those cabins. Sometimes they will bump people up to better rooms to free up the less expensive rooms.
