3. will the flight be better with virgin as with first choice everything was a upgrade.

4. when we went last year we took the kids to a character meal it was winnie the pooh and friends i think it was in magic kingdom but can not be sure anyway we want to prebook it this year how do i do this as i have been looking and can not find the rest.

hi
i will try and answer some of your questions

1) ive never been in june but i have been in october...the waether was lovely during the day (vest top weather) however i did go cooler at night so do take some jumpers.

2) the parks are generally quieter in october but its still advisable to plan the day for rides you like.

3) can't really answer this although virgin seem to have gone down a bit according to others on this board

4) this meal is at the crystal palace restaurant inside magic kingdom..its a buffet with pooh and friends, you can book this 180 days in advance
i cant remember the telephone number offhand but someone else wuill have it:)

Oct is fav month of year for us, no problems sitting by the pool in shorts and Tshirts drinking a cold beer at 11pm, never had to wear a jumper but everyone feels temps differently.
Lines for rides are usually reasonable in Oct. We normally go something like 5th-26th the third week being the quietest (UK half term week) but it can vary.
Not been with First choice only Virgin economy but don't expect much, they have gone downhill in recent years. Flew from Heatrow to LA in Oct which had a great entertainment system, over 50 films you could pause and rewind, send messages to friends if they were sat elsewhere on plane, modern newish plane. Xmas we were Man to Orlando, I think the oldest plane in the fleet poor choice of films and no viewer options. Food was terrible. Makes me a little mad as I have 75,000 flyer points and use them 3 or 4 times a year for US and they just don't seem to realise how bad they are getting. I think they need some competition on the MAN-MCO direct Route to give them a kick up the backside.

In terms of both crowds and weather your experience should be better in October. Of course there are no guarantees, but we've always had great weather in October - just a couple of wet or overcast days per trip. Like Wayne, we've never needed anything other than 'holiday' clothes. Crowds are definitely getting heavier in October than they used to be, but will still be lighter than June (especially if you visited during the second half). As long as you plan sensibly (in simple terms, avoiding EMH days), you will most likely find crowds relatively light. Whilst I don't think it's necessary to be a slave to early mornings, it is worth getting to the parks early during the first few days when the jet-lag has you awake at the crack of dawn.

As far as the flights are concerned, every airline has good and bad days. I can't remember the last time we flew with anyone other than Virgin, so I can't compare. It's just a means to an end, so I try to roll with it. :)

Character meals you can also book them at Guest Relations in any park or at Downtown Disney if you don't want to book before you go.

thanks for the replys very helpfull whats staying on idrive like ??

In a word, Busy.
Depends on time of year and which part of I drive, Oct is not too bad but we still try to avoid it. Last time I wanted to go up it took me about 30 mins to do a 5 min journey.
This is our preference to areas we have stayed at starting with our favourite
Lake Beuna Vista/Crossroads
192 West Maingate
192 East Maingate
Disney Onsite
I Drive

Personally we dont like I Drive but a lot do, I have a customer who wont stay anywhere else.

We did two weeks ( last week in Sept & 1st week in Oct) a few years ago and the weather was lovely and hot and only had one day when it rained which lasted for 20 mins.

We only travel with Virgin and have found them to be great & would continue going with them, hope this is of some help to you.:disrocks:

We have been in October and it is the best time to go. Weather is fantastic - we had one wet day - and could wear shorts and tshirts all day, no jumpers needed.

We flew with first choice 2 years ago. Dreadful, never again. Almost put me off flying altogether.

Was persuaded to go back last year and flew with Virgin. Fantastic service, so professional. Kids meals onboard not great but that was the only fault I could find. The TV/ games consoloe will keep the kids amused for hours.

Going back this year and flying with Virgin again - I would not do a transatlantic with a company like First Choice ever again.

Have a great time. :wizard: :cool2:

I have stayed on I Drive twice and will be doing so again the next time we go. I like having the variety of restuarants nearby and the shops.

Hello,

Going in october will be great, I have always been in september as I prefer it less busy and the weather is still hot but not as humid.

I flew with Virgin and found them to be ok.

We flew out PE and were treated really well, we flew back economy and noticed the difference but it was still good as far as I am concerned.

I hope you have a fab time.

Hi

I have been both in June and October.

I prefer October. The weather was lovely during the day, but was a little chilly on some nights. It would not stop you from enjoying the water parks. I love Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party and Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. Both of these events has changed mine and dh views. When we go again we will have to make sure we can go in October. The crowds were I would say above average on some days. It was no where near as busy as June. We were able to walk onto Mission Space and a few other rides. All the usuals have long wait times i,e splash mountain, space mountain, soarin etc. Just use the fast pass system.

Just seeing the parks with halloween bits and bobs just made the atmosphere more special in my eyes. Even Seaworld had little pumpkins made into fishes around. Universal has a halloween night, which is not for children.

I flew with VA, but never with First choice.

You will love it.
