I just downloaded the free trial of photo shop pro x. I have a picture that I'm trying touch up. Could someone tell me how to touch this up? It's blurry and the taillight kills the eyes. Or if someone can touch it up and then give me the steps on how they did it so I can try myself and see what it should end up looking like, that would be appreciated as well.

Photo Shop seems to have too many features, thus confusing me, but I'm sure it's all helpful once I figure out how to use them.

Sorry, use Photoshop CS2 myself; but the technique has to be basically the same; use the dodge and burn tool for the lights (make them dimmer) and probably try the sharpening for the blurr; this defines the edges better.

However, it is hard when the picture is not really sharp in the first place (unfortunately)

Otherwise quite a memorable pic!

open your pic, click Adjust, then sharpness, then unsharp mask
set radius at 2
strength at 50
and clipping at 5
view results,
if you want it a little sharper repeat above steps.

I did it 3 or 4 times...

picture won't look perfectly sharp but will look better, as far as getting an 8x10 made, probably not a good idea, the blerr will show.

for tail lights and plate, use the burn tool,

or you could use the selection tool/magic wand, click on the light, then click on adjust/brightness and contrast, then brightness and contrast again..then set the brightness level to a negative number,,-20 perhaps.. and see how you like it

I'm not much help with your software since I am a Photoshop CS2 user myself but I did want to say that your picture is one of the best ventriliquist photos I have ever seen. You can barely see that camo guy's lips move when he makes Bambi talk.

Wow, mine didn't turn out like that at all. Looks much better.

Could it make a difference since I have a trial version?

Myself, I think rather than using the burn tool on the bright white taillights (as shown above - they turn out grey), I'd probably clone or at least paint over them using the same shade of red as what's surrounding the bright white. But that's just me... either way works - just a matter of personal preference, y'know? :thumbsup2

Good luck!

That's how I feel. I have 6 of them hanging in my house and once the basement's finished, guess where they're going?

We have a log home but that doesn't mean I need dead animals just hanging around. I like cleaning them in hopes that one "accidently" falls. I joke with him about this all the time.

I told him that once the basement gets done and the deer heads are moved, I have a longaberger basket that will look good hanging in it's place. He just rolls his eyes at me...

that's a great suggestion, had I been more awake this morning, I probably would have included that thought , the clone tool is one of my favorites..

Now just in case anyone was curious, this is what Bambi is thinking...

I left his license plate blown out so no one would go looking for Bambi with any questions.

Oh my god, my DH got a kick out of that and I printed it off for him.

The way I see it, we human are the ones who are tampering with their home. That's the extent I'm going to take my comment. I don't want to make it a political/environmental debate.

I live on almost 20 acres with 1/2 of an acre cleared for my house. They have plenty of food/space They just choose to eat what we plant (even plants that the local cooperative say deer will leave alone. They are just very destructive animals. Not to mention that I do not know a single person that lives in my area that has not hit a deer with there car. I also know 2 people who have hit 12 deer. I wish more people hunted. Political/Environmental debate not wanted either. I had to move my house 600 feet (at an increased cost due to hitting rock)from where I wanted to build it because the DEC found some kind of endangered turtle on my property. I think people should be more important than a turtle/deer/rare plant. When wildlife starts costing me 10's of thousands of dollars (yes that figure is correct) I say kill them.

12 deer in what period of time, sounds like they need better headlights or better driving skills.. :cool1:

What is that next to the front drivers side tire?? Looks like a ghostly animal or two?
