Help w next week's plan

I am going to WDW and staying at Kidani from Monday - Thursday. My son is in the Disney College Program and I need to see his face

I'm travelling with a girlfriend, we have a studio, standard view. I'm very very happy with Kidani, and I've made reservations at each of the 3 sit down restaurants between the lodge and the villas - one on each day of our stay.

I have an AP, she's going to buy a park pass, probably a one day, as my son will bring her in as a guest on his CM pass on the other day. We only have two days for the parks.

I made Wanyama Safari/Jiko reservations for Wednesday, 4 pm. I know it lasts about 3 hours with the dinner.

I was thinking we could go into AK Park on Wednesday morning, since it's the park I feel we need the least time for, and leave at 3 pm to make our 4 pm safari at the resort. Do you think it's NOT a good idea to try and cram the park in? Should we skip it?

Also, once we are in a park with a one day pass, can we leave and get back in later in the day? (that's for the other park day)

I might leave closer to 2 pm to allow enough time to rest up for the Safari -- it
is amazing!

Thank you. I have done this safari with my cousins a couple of years ago, and I agree, it's awesome! This is why I am so looking forward to do it again, and with someone who's never done it before, which makes it that much better! I can't wait!
