I am having such a hard time with this, as it's my first trip with a child....I have been so many times AS a child, but NEVER with one!

We are going for 4 nights, 5 days (only 3 days in the park). We would like to ONLY do MK and AK, b/c we are going back for 8 or 9 days in the Fall..so we can do all the other stuff. My daughter wakes up around 8:30-900, naps from 12:30-2:30 (ONLY IN HER CRIB) and goes to bed around 9:00pm...She's a difficult one! LOL I don't mind tweaking her schdule either!

Here is what I have so far...WHAT DO YOU THINK??

Thursday (arrive at 3:30) -- Check in, Pool, Dinner (no ADR's) we'll just eat at our hotel or food court. BEd early!

Friday wake up (8:00), head to MK. MK from 9-12:30, hotel to nap (pool if time)...get ready for dinner at Spoodles (5:50). Walk around BW area and catch the Epcot Fireworks! BED by 10:00pm!

Saturday wake up (8:00), head to Animal Kingdom 9-1:00, back to hotel to nap, pool and get ready for dinner. Hoop Dee Doo (5:00). Hotel -- pool for an hour, and BED by 9:30pm!

Sunday wake up (SLEEP IN)...Pool all day, nap, relax, nap...get ready for 4:00ressie at Coral Reef (Epcot), then to MK..trip on Monarail... MK (to finish up)from 6-WISHES! Watch Wishes, go back home to BED by 10pm.

Monday wake up (8:30am)..pack....pool...checkout...DTD, Leave for airport 4(getting picked -up 4:45pm)

What do you think???? This is subject to change! AM I expecting too much of my Toddler or NOT giving her enough?? LOL Like I said, she is a pretty fexible kid and I can tweak sleep times about an hour or so here and there...without throwing her off too much! She just won't sleep in a stroller..EVER!!! ;0(

Thanks!

Your trip sounds great, but you did not mention the time of year when you are going or your DDs age. I think you might find yourself wanting to stay longer in the parks during the day if there are line ups to deal with and there is the parade times to consider, if you DD likes that sort of thing.

However, you know your child best and if this plan suits your family then have fun and enjoy!!

THANK YOU! I think we might have to miss the parades...since they are at 3..RIGHT?? SHE WILL LOVE them...but with her nap..It's going to be hard!
She will be 2 weeks shy of 2 when we go...and we go May 10-14th....a few more WEEKS!!!!

We booked LAST minute, so our dinner reservations are WAYYYY earlier then we expected! We usually eat 6-6:30...I might try and see if we can get something in that time frame for the 2 (NOT HOOP DEE DOO) dinners. As we get closer! ;0)

Keep in mind travel time to the parks. If you are taking the bus it can take around 45 min or so. Plus your time to get ready. We always go right at park opening. Ds just gets up early. Then we come back to take a really good nap. She may suprise you and sleep in the stroller, kids will always shock you outside of their normal environment.

I'll second what PiperPizzaz said about kids sleeping in strollers.

My 3 nieces are crib-only nappers and were all able to nap in strollers while at Disney. And my daughter no longer naps at home, but she napped during our most recent Disney trip in Feb-- but only in her stroller in the park. When we try napping her in the hotel room, it doesn't work. We waste 4 hours between travel and trying to nap time.

I'd also try going to the parks early, if possible.

Have a great time...

We will be skipping afternoon parades also. Our dd will be 2 this trip and she will only sleep in a bed. Last summer we would head out of the parks around noonish and let her get a nice long nap, then pool time and then return to the parks when it wasn't quite so hot. We are sticking to the same plan this summer. Our other dd will be 6 months old this trip and she will sleep in the stroller so we're hoping for some afternoon parades in Dec or maybe next summer. I want the girls well rested and enjoying the vacation where we can also enjoy it there will be other trips.
