Help w/ ADD-Ons? Where to find small add-on??

Hi, I would like to add-on about 60pts to my DVC acct. I would like to add-on at BWV, but it is sold out w/ Disney.
Does anyone know where to turn to add-on about 60pts?
I called re-sale companies, but they all seem to only have 150pts. and up.

You could put yourself on a waiting list with one of the brokers, but these are very difficult to find for a number of reasons, e.g., (a) when owners go to sell they usually want to sell everything they have at once and thus would not be trying to sell separately that small portion which was an add-on to their orginal contract; (b) seller's cost of such a resale through a broker is fairly prohibitive--brokers usually have a minimum commission of $1,000 to $1,500 for any timeshare sale-- discouraging an owner from selling what was an add-on separate from the rest of his contracts because the commission would be close to a third of the sale price on such a small number of points

I just purchased a 50 point add-on at OKW and
got the points from my original sales rep.

She knew I wanted an add-on and wanted it at
OKW so when some became available she called
me immediately.

You might try calling your sales person and
let them know you would be interested should
any points become available.

The 50 pts. I just purchased obviously became
available long after OKW was "sold out", so you
might get lucky too. It's worth a try.

I called my guide and asked for an add-on at OKW or BWV and was told no points was available and no longer a wait list????
Now what?

I think your only alternatives are to get on a resale waitlist, which may or may not come through, or to decide which of the properties that Disney has up for sale you'd like to stay at and get your add on there.

I would prefer to add on at BWV myself...but VWL does look beautiful and since I find myself trying to find a reason to stop by the WL just to see it on every trip I think we may add on there....if I can convince dh.

And of course you can always try using those points at 7 months...maybe you'll get lucky!

Smaller add-on's do come up at resale, you just have to look. We recently got a 100 pt add-on at OKW from Jaki at A Timeshare Broker. At the time we purchased I remember at least one other add-on available for fewer points.

While it's probably true that those selling, are selling everything, it's also possible they have more than one purchase, I.E. an initial 200 point purchase, and later a 50 point etc add-on. These can sometimes be purchased separately.

Get your name in with the resale brokers and tell them what you're looking for.
