help w/a point transfer

looking for anyone who can give me a quick primer on transferring points. i am looking to do a nondisney vacation next year (shame on me, i know!) and have already posted to rent my points out. that said i noticed today someone was looking for a point tranfer which i can accomadate.
how can i insure that i get paid for the points that i transfer? obviously getting paid first is preferable for me but probably not for the buyer.
any advice on how the process should work?

MS will not get involved with any monetary dispute over point transfers as it's against the program rules to accept money it. Also, a points transfer is a final transaction so they can't reverse it if you don't get paid.

That said, I think I would require payment prior to the actual transfer taking place.

I have done a transfer in and out and in both cases, payment was made in full before the transfer was done. I used Paypal to pay. The person who I transfered points to wanted to send me a money order (or bank check, I don't remember which) and that was fine with me. When I got it, I did the transfer immediately and let her know.

thanks all for the help! getting paid first was my preference too but i really wasn't sure what was common practice never having done it before.
it's so nice having all you experienced DISers to ask for help!
