Help..villa rental question

Ok, so here is the short version of my story. We have been planning a November trip since we came off of our May trip. Thanks to all of my dis friends I finally narrowed down our accomodations to Marriott Grande Vista. Well I made the reservations and I finally thought that was settled....NOT! Well this past weekend we are showing movies of our vacation when we stayed in EI from May to the In-laws and DH turns to me and says well, I think we will do better in a house again See, my hubby knows he has me he is the type to just sit back and ask what day and where we are staying he knows I take care everything else.


Ok my point is this HAs anyone rented a house for less than a week? I have been searching since this weekend and I keep coming up with prices that include HUGE cleaning fees (which is understandable) but I wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations.

Thanks for any help, guys I am beginning to feel as if this trip will never be totally planned!

I personally do not know of any rental homes that do not charge for the clean fee if under a week stay.

When you stay in the home the clean fee stays the same if you stay a week or 2 nights. It is easy to absorb the more days the guests stay.

It might be cheaper to stay the extra night so you can leave late the day you choose then just paying the clean fee just an idea. Deb

We stayed at a villa in Windsor Hills through www.romancingthemouse.com.
There is a $80.00 fee for stays less than 5 days.

Most of us have a minimum of 7 nights,especially peak season.
But if an owner has a gap,they may be prepared to fill it and usually add the cleaning fee.

We never have rented for less than a week and quite frankly I can see how it could be a pain for the owners. I think my hubby just may not get his wish. I am going to hold on to our ressie at MGV just in case.
