Yes, it can be done...Boma dinner followed by Boma breakfast. Yes, it hurts. Yes, it was worth the pain.

After traveling all day I feared that a quiet Jiko might have been a better choice than the bustling African marketplace theme of Boma. Nevertheless, after a few plates of African delights and a few glasses of wine the bustle all but disappeared. We actually ate for over 2 hours and were never rushed. We tried almost everything and there was nothing that we did't like. The oak fired grill is a wonderful way to cook/smoke prime rib, ribs, and pork loin. The soups were remarkable and all the desserts were tasty (not just the famous zebra domes). Since we were only at AKL one night we wanted to stick with the African experience but even I was surprised that we were able to come back for round 2...Breakfast, also great with more oak fired meats, and made to order eggs/omlets. I was pleasantly surprised that coffee /tea, softdrinks or juice are included in the buffet cost.

This impressive degree of gluttony successfully disabled our abilty to eat even one more big meal throughout our vaction. Fortunately it was good enough that this did not upset us in any way.

I have had dinner there twice and loved it! I am now looking forward to breakfast there on Monday!!!! YIPPEEE!

OK, here's a question for the Boma experts: breakfast or dinner, or both? Right now I have a PS for latest PS on a Saturday morning for breakfast, after our EE morning at AK. I have heard incredible things about the dinner though, and I am trying to figure out a way to try that instead of or in addition to the breakfast. Boma isn't open for lunch, right? Does anyone know the earliest PS for dinner? We might be able to do the dinner either that late afternoon or on Sunday before we head back (sigh). Thanks for any suggestions!

I personally think that BOMA is a MUST for dinner!!!!!!
But, if you have time to do both........DO IT! Breakfast is fabulous too!

We spend hours there during dinner and always try as much as we can! It is our favorite restaraunt at WDW!!!

Had a great time at Boma just last night, our third time there. What really impressed me, even more than the wonderful food, was the friendly staff.

Most of all, what really really mad my night - I was checking out the soups, and Chef Tony smiled and said to me "Welcome back to the Boma".... I was thrilled that he actually remembered me from prior visits, even though I had only eaten there twice before, the last time in August.....What a nice guy he is, and what a great restaurant the Boma is...

And lastly, what an absolutely beautiful resort hotel the Animal Kingdom Lodge is, I must stay in a savannah view room some day!!

Fri- Jiko for dinner - we checked in and headed for Jiko-best restaurant at WDW!!!!!

Sat- Breakfastsaurus
Flametree (had to split sandwich)
Rose and Crown

Sun- Cindy's (my b-day!)
Mara- very good food
Boma- crowded and good, but not as good as Jiko- we even left DS at Simba's Cubhouse, so we could take our time.

Monday- Boma breakfast- great, but by this time we were full from the whole weekend!!!!!

for anyone who hasn't stayed at AKL: This place is magnificent!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness - I can't believe you survived dinner and then breakfast the very next day!

Lonestarstatelady, I have had breakfast and dinner at Boma (but not on consecutive days!). I am not as big on breakfast foods as dinner foods, so I'd choose dinner (although the breakfast was very good, too). Besides, if you don't do dinner, you'll miss the zebra domes!

I also was very impressed with the service. On our last visit, my 6 yr old DS was wandering around the buffet with an empty plate trying to find something that appealed to him. One of the CM's behind the buffet asked him what he'd like to eat. He said grilled cheese. She told him she'd make him one and bring it to our table. A few minutes later she arrived with a huge grilled cheese (a triple decker!) with gummy worms all around the plate. She also brought a cup of gummy worms for our 8 yr old DD. We were all quite impressed.
