The planning for our December trip has commenced :cool1:

For starters.....

1. Can you remind me what the park opening and closing hours are for December?

2. Is early magic daily?

3. The DCR ranch pool was open all day again during the Summer (after not opening until 3pm for a couple of years)....is that still the case?

1. Opening hours for the first half of December are now up!

2. Extra magic hours are on daily until 31st December - some days only for 1 hour.

3. Don't know, but Hotel New York was open all day on our trip in June?

Happy planning! :santa:

Thanks Mum to Belle, that's really helpful :thumbsup2

Was hoping it would be open a little later than 7pm....never mind.

More questions:

4. One here for Carrie if reading: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2830769

5. Has anyone eaten at the Lucky Nugget lately? How was the food? Is there anyone performing on the stage these days?

6. Is the skating rink open outside of the hotel New York? If so, does anyone know how much it costs?

7. Is the Auchan supermarket, Val d' Europe, open on a Sunday?

Thanks again :thumbsup2

yep, the skating rink is open in front of the HNY, sorry don't know how much it costs, but there were certainly folk using it on Tuesday evening :).

Hello :goodvibes

Still haven't got a working pc of my own so I'm not around atm :sad1:

Will reply tomorrow as I'm off to the library to use theirs as via my Kindle is very hard going

- Auchan will be open, as will the rest of the shopping centre, on at least 3 of the Sundays in December for Christmas shopping

Will let you know which ones asap

- Marché Noisy le Grand - have been in 2008 so will also update

- Lucky Nugget afaik no stage performance but it was closed last couple of times I was in the park

Might be going Monday (if not will go later next week) and will ask :goodvibes

8. Does anyone have a link for reataurant opening times in December?

9. More specifically, does anyone know if you can eat at the Lucky Nugget late pm (used to only be open for lunch)?

We are leaving tomorrow, and I had to call the reservations line a couple of times to get them all made.

I asked them if they had opening/closing times for all the restaurants somewhere and they don't. The park closes at 7 every night we are there and the latest we could get a reservation inside the park for I believe was 5:45 at Plaza Gardens or Blue Lagoon. I know that the latest you can book for Walt's is 3:45. So if you want to eat after 6 you will probably have to eat outside the park.

I had a reservation made at the yacht club Thursday night, but when I called to check on my reservations it wasn't there. I tried to re-book for the same night but it wasn't available. The agent said the restaurant was closed due to a private booking....

So your best bet is to just call the reservation line and ask.

Thanks thepreciouspea, that's really helpful. The park is closing 7pm every night that we're there as well, expect for our arrival day which is 9pm.

Have a fantastic time :goodvibes

Okay - still not got my own pc back and will have to wait until after Christmas I think to buy one :sad2:

But I'm trying to catch up :goodvibes

Auchan and the rest of Val d'Europe is open the 4/11/18 of December as is Carrefour and Bay2 (where you picked up the tickets) and the Carrefour at the Arcades shopping center (Noisy le Grand) if you were going over there to the market

The Christmas market - we went in 2008 and it wasn't huge or anything (25 stands or so), there were some animals and we saw a bit of music. I'm not great at this as besides maybe buying a glass of mulled wine and a gingerbread cookie I'm not into the rest of what is sold at the Christmas markets here in Paris and the Ile de France.

It's lot's of expensive bits and bats like glassware, candles, baubles, jewellery and scarves along with food and wine - for me there isn't anything I can't get anywhere else but for someone who doesn't live here and doesn't have access to it it's maybe really good :confused3

We might go this year as I know it's changing venue (due to major works going on in Noisy le Grand ) and we go every Sunday to their normal food etc market so it's not like I dislike the place :lmao: Will have to see what OH is working

I prefer Provins as it's more Christmassy to me, yes there are even fewer stands and it's very French but I love seeing the Nativity play with the animals and they even have camels

OH said though and he's right that without knowing French, children (and adults) could be bored as it's all in French and it's also very cold as there is no heating or anything in the building

-Lucky Nugget wasn't open again on Sunday and I have no idea when it is supposed to be - lot's of c/s and t/s closed atm , it's a very poor show :sad2:

I was walking by the skating rink and thought someone had asked about it so I got a picture.

It is open from 3-10 p.m. The cost for Adults is 12E/ Kids 9E with skates, and 10E/ Kids 7E if you have your own skates.

Seems pretty pricey to me, but if my kids were older I would have considered it. That is if we weren't so tired every night all ready.

Official bit about Provins in English

http://www.provins.net/index.php/festivals-and-events/whats-on/december.html

and in French which has far more detail - They have added much more to this year so it's maybe more "open" to all

http://www.provins.net/index.php/fetes-et-manifestations/agenda/agenda-decembre-2011.html

Much appreciated Carrie :)

May give Provins a go, as it looks very fesitve.

Tales in the Underground looks fun, but not if you don't speak French. Kick myself for not being interested in learning it when I was younger :sad2:

Leaving tomorrow evening, and after a day in London, we're off to DLP for a few days :goodvibes

Thanks again for all the advice :thumbsup2

Hope you are having a great time :thumbsup2

We went to Noisy le Grand this pm and it was as I found it before. Didn't help that it was drizzling either :sad2:

Had a vin chaud and a pain d'epice, looked at the animals and bought nothing.
