Sorry.. I totally disagree with that I have gone for the past 4 years in a row and looking forward to this October just as much as the last one. Each time I have gone, I have done something new and it has been AWESOME.

La Nouba at DTD is awesome I just wanted to mention that you need to google the line at Universal when Harry Potter opened. My guess is it isn't going to be any better. I would stay FAR away from that for a while!

Horseback riding at Fort Wilderness, hot air balloon ride in DTD, treat yourself to a Kitchen Sink sundae at Beaches and Cream. Those are a few things we really loved from our last trip!

Race car, okay not my fav but I do like to watch, just not ride,

Seed tour at Epcot
I love the scavanger hunt torus when they have them the tours with the clues you have to figure out
Miniature golfing both are fun
Cabana at typoon or blizzard beach, the smaller ones for $50 not the $300 ones although those are nice, not worth it to me.
Walk thru all the hotels

Swan boats at dolphin, I have not done this yet, maybe next time.

The title of the thread is "Help us find something to do at WDW" I don't believe that Universal is at WDW so lets try again and answer the question that is being asked!!

I've always wanted to do the snorkling at the Seas in Epcot. They also have a dolphin encounter there.

If you consider off property as an option, how about Discovery Cove.

I know you fish at home, but if you can get down when it's still cold at home-WDW fishing is a nice experience.

Plus you can fish inside EPCOT before it opens, or fish in front of the Magic Kingdom if you want-fun to watch it all come to life from there.

Up to 5 guests can fish-so that helps justify the cost.

My vote is for BOB JACKSON!

He is an entertainer at The lounge at Riverside a few nights a week. I promise you will laugh until it hurts...and with a few recreational beverages...you will laugh until you cannot take a breath.

Why?

Because NOBODY has more fun than WE DO!

It's silly. The kids are dancing early in the evening. Music and singing, silliness and noise. At Christmas time try REAL hard to NOT be 10 Lords A Leapin (Hubsters input). How many Lords are there really?

Cannot remember the website. Just google YeehawBob.

If you take a camera you will have blackmail material for years!

New stuff from our most recent trip:

Lunch at sci-fi dine in (Our DD10 loved it in there.)
Park hopping especially boat back and forth from DHS to Epcot
Park hopping also enabled some "small chunk touring" like just spend the morning in AK and only visit Africa and Discovery Island. This was more fun because we could take time for breakfast at Tusker House, the train to Conservation Station, brushing goats, and seeing the swan, anteater, etc. We also did three small visits to Epcot which helped our daughter really start to like Epcot which was her least favorite park.

The final American Idol show of the day- more exciting cuz its the finals
Pirate treasure game in Adventureland
Let daughter repeat rides- Space Mountain and Primeval Whirl about 6 x each
Played silly carnival games in Dinoland in AK
Actually sat down and watched parades ( Festival of Fantasy in MK is great!)
Frontierland shootin' arcade (daughter hated this)
Stayed in business class room at Coronado Springs. Loved the Cococino lounge! and the close location, hammocks, pool, giant checkers, peaceful atmosphere, everything about it.


Really the main thing is that we slowed down a little from all our usual rushing around to sit and enjoy some entertainment, and let our daughter lead a little and repeat things she really enjoys. Of course your list will be different, but I agree that trying new things or maybe just a new approach sometimes helps make your trip fun.

If you're at Disney when a RunDisney event is taking place that would be something different to participate in. They have kids and family events with shorter distances. But plan ahead, they sell out!

Where is Blue Man Group at? That sounds cool. Always wanted to see them!

Maybe a Nov trip is in order for us? Still warm enough, but get to see MVMCP and the lights right? When does that begin?

Blue Man Group is at Universal.

I think it varies a little, but if I remember correctly the Osborne Lights started about November 8 last year. We were down November 15-18 last year and Osborne Lights were in full swing and Christmas decorations were going up daily. The castle was in icicle mode at night, Wilderness Lodge Christmas tree went up while we were there, Epcot tree was up, I think DHS also, MK was not. Gingerbread house was in Grand Floridian. I believe MVMCP started while we were there, although we didn't go. Weather was great and crowds quite low...wasn't quite Thanksgiving season yet.

If your last trip was in 2011, how did you do Be Our Guest? It didn't open until the end of 2012.

That said, if your original dates were correct, then all of New Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom will be new to you. I'd make Be Our Guest, Seven Dwarves Mine Train, and Enchanted Tales with Belle a priority for sure (that's what we're doing). Be Our Guest, however, I'm finding to be completely booked the seven days we're there already. You may have to settle for a lunch, rather than dinner and meeting Beast.

Since you mention Universal, there are LOTS of new attractions over there. Transformers, Despicable Me, the new Simpsons area ... not to mention Diagon Alley opening at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. (Note that you'll need a two-park pass, since the Hogwarts Express ride requires it, and you'll want to try it.)

Have fun! My wife and I will be there for our 3rd anniversary around the same time!

If you have a car: We typically do not have a car, but can rent one. We planned to rent a car and go to the beach (Clearwater) last year but we had a few days of rain at the beginning of our stay which took away from our park time. We scrapped the beach idea in favor of more park time.
- Go to the beach. Both coasts.
- Sea World
- If you want to splurge a little, Discovery Cove This is a nice option.
- NASA - If we do NASA, it will probably be on a family cruise vacation that leaves out of Port Canaveral...

Kitchen sink looks really fun, but we've been on the dining plan every year and to be honest, even that is too much food. I suppose we could replace lunch with The Kitchen Sink! Hmm....

That's probably partly my fault actually, since I even mention how much I liked our day trip to Sea World. I'm open to all great options in the Orlando area.

Holy crap there are some nice largemouth there! Honestly, I wish I would have known about this on our 2013 trip. My parents were with us and my Dad and I love to fish. (we all do actually). Was just out this past weekend for the Walleye opener here in MI. Fishing at WDW would have been a great time. What is the cost?

He's great! I don't know how he keeps up the energy each night! We've seen him a few times, in passing, back at POR. We stood and watched for a while each time. We'll have to make an evening of it one of these trips!

I'm an avid runner, and have been to Disney when running events are going on. I'm torn on it though. Not sure I want to use my energy to run, versus spending fun with my family at the parks, etc...

We did the surf lessons at typhoon lagoon on this last trip it was me and my DS 9. He loved it and did great my DW came too but just watched there is no cost for spectators. The only problem was being there so early. I would do this again for sure.

What is the age limit on this? I thought it was 12, but have a DS-7 who is dying to do this. Thanks!

I think its $270 yet-and seem to have a 20% discount here and there.

So quite expensive-but a huge bargain IMO dead of winter and you have the funds (2 hours). They have great guides-bait/cast/remove-whichever you need. Has soda and water.

FP+ will really help now-AM fishing has been the best so even less need to rush in for headliners.
