My DH says we can goto Disney at the end of September, he seems really excited, which makes me really happy:banana: , I have him on the boards with me:cool1: Let us know what you think, where should we stay Caribbean Beach or Coronado Springs. We checked the price and its the same. Any building preferences would be appreciated. Thanks for the advise:cheer2:

Congrats on your upcomming trip!

I've never stayed at either, but they are both moderate resorts so i'm sure they are very similar in value and in amenities. I have good friends who do disney a couple times a year and caribean beach is where they always stay.

We've never stayed at Caribbean beach, but we have stayed twice at Coronado Springs.* We loved it both times.* We loved the theming. The food court, Pepper Market, is in my opinion, the best at WDW. So my vote is for Coronado!:thumbsup2

Both are very nice. We've stayed at the CBR many times. The main pool is due to reopen mid September. If you are going the end of Sept, the new pool will be open. It's been closed all year to renovate. I personnally like the atmosphere at the CBR a little more than CSR. It's all a matter of taste. Check out what they look like on this site as well as looking through the threads relating to each!

We have stayed at the Carribean and loved it. We stayed in the Jamaica building in a corner room and it was awsome. we loved the beach area, boat rentals, hammocks, the quiet pool and the main pool. I beleive they just (or still are) renovating the main pool.
Another thing we loved, when we stayed there 8 years ago there was a ragae band that played every night near the outdoor bar area.

Happy planning
Fran

We stayed at CBR years ago, and I wasn't that impressed. From looking at pictures of CSR and having heard a lot of good things about the dining there as well, I would vote for that one.
Either way, it's Disney, and you can't go wrong!

I never stayed at either, but my choice if we move up to moderate is Carribean. I have friends that stayed there and loved it, and I personally like the theming. It is very large though.

Coronado is very large. I've only been there for a conference, but had plenty of down time to explore. The food court got rave reviews, but I wasn't that thrilled with it- but I had ground bones in my ground beef TWICE, which isn't a good thing from my perspective (ahem, mad cow!, ahem) - and it was hard to stay away from the ground beef it being a Mexican theme and all.

The rooms were large and comfortable, though kind of dark, and it was about a 10 minute walk from our room to the main pool area, but there was a very quiet pool (unheated) right outside our room too.

There's a really nice walking trail around the pond, sandy beaches (for sand play only, not for going in the water), and hammocks seemed to be abundant. There was an alligator spotted in the pond daily while we were there.

You couldn't really walk TO anything, but as with just about anywhere the buses were pretty reliable.

I haven't been to the Caribbean, so can't compare, but hope my thoughts on Coronado are somewhat helpful!:yay:
