Background - DH and I (both 27) will be visiting WDW September 8-15. We have been many times together in the past. We are very excited about trying the dining plan, which will allow us to try new restaurants and relax our usual commando touring strategy! I am also a former WDW cast member (college program) so I have seen the Utilidor and other backstage areas.

We are debating between the following tours:
1. The Keys to the Kingdom Tour
2. Segway Tour (where you ride through World Showcase)
3. Renting a boat or pwc from Sammy Duvall's at CR

I have heard great reviews regarding all three (I know the boat isn't really a tour, but it would be an additional adventure we don't normally spend money on.) We are Disney Visa cardholders, so I believe we can get either 15 or 20% off the actaul tours.

Please post comments on what you chose. Thanks!

Thank you to those who already voted. We're wondering WHY we should choose one tour over the other. Please help us out! Thanks! :wave2:

KTTK has to be the best tour in Disney.

I voted for the Epcot tour. As a former cast member you may already know most of what the KttK tour will be...though I agree that it is probably the best tour at WDW.

I voted KTTK. My son and I waited until he was 16 before we could do this and it was worth the 7 years!!! We haven't done the others so I don't have an opinion on them. I did see on the board somewhere a while ago that learning the correct balance on the segway put some stress on your back and legs. It's about balance, which I'm awful at so I don't think I'd like it. But, that's me. Have fun on what ever you do, which of course it will be cause you're at DISNEY!!!! :goodvibes

I voted Segway. I've done it and KttK, and loved them both. That said, as you and your husband have been multiple times, and you've worked there, I don't know if KttK will have that much new information for you. It's definitely a wonderful tour, and my husband and I had a great time with it, but I was familiar with pretty well everything the cast member tour guide told us. (And I've never worked there).

The Segway tour was a *completely* new experience for us both, and was a really unique opportunity to tour around half of World Showcase before it opened (the half you can't get to going from International Gateway on through). It gave it's own little behind the scenes view, with people painting/gardening/etc, and we had an awesome time with the Segways themselves. Sooo much fun. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Whichever way you choose, I'm sure you guys'll have a blast, but that's my explanation of my vote. :)

i'm sending my mom and stepdad on the "dolphins at depth"
it sounds really cool :hippie:

I voted for the Segway tour at Epcot. My DH and I did this tour for the first time last summer and had an absolute BLAST! It was the highlight of our trip. :goodvibes We enjoyed it so much that we did the tour again when we went back to Disney World last fall! :thumbsup2

If you have the time and the money that I highly recommend the

I really enjoyed the Keys to the Kingdom Tour! There was so much info coming at you! I will go the Segway tour next time though...

I also recommend Wild By Design at Animal Kingdom - it's very cool!

I've done both KTTK & Segway. Both were wonderful & I'd do either again in a heartbeat.

That said, since you worked at WDW, KTTK probably isn't going to be as exciting for you as it was for us no former CM's.

Segway is just all out cool. It really is something completely different. If I had my way, I'd do it every single trip. I wish they had a intermediate & advanced level Segway Tour tho.

(My ultimate dream tour is Backstage Magic. Someday.....)
