DH and I are going with another couple to Florida January 29-February 2nd. We have 2 day passes for Universal (The other 3 days we'll be at Disney). We were thinking of doing Universal on Saturday when we arrive. We should be able to be at the parks by 12:00 noon and they stay open until 6:00 p.m. On Wednesday the day we leave, we thought we would do IOA. We can be there at opening, our flight leaves @ 8:30 p.m. that night.

I know NOTHING about Universal at all. I did read something about an express pass we could buy. For our dates it would be $15.95 each day. Is it worth it? We definately want to make the most of the time we have available! Any tips or advice would be GREAT!! :grouphug:

THANKS!
Kayla

you're coming during a slow time, but Saturdays at US can still be somwhat busy, nothing major though. if you don't want to wait in line and do pretty much the entire park in 6 hours, 15 bucks per person is a bargain. I wouldn't worry about them on a Wed. at IOA during that time period.

Sat at Universal will be just getting busy at noontime. Pick the absolute must do rides, get the free express passes (like Fastpass at WDW) , have a schedule in your mind of what rides you want to do, get a map and your tickets ahead of time. Eat big breakfast, and bring some snacks into the park for lunch, have a big dinner after park closing. We were there 2nd week in Jan., it's a slow time of year, but the major rides can have a wait, especially after 12pm. Find the ride reviews on this site. Ones to do at US-Mummy, Men in Black, Earthquake,Twister, Terminator, Beetlejuice & Horror shows. Back to the future, Shrek 4D, do these after everything else if you have time.

IOA- Get there at opening and do the same as above-have maps, tixs, and an idea of which rides to go on. Don't forget to bring change of clothes, most of the rides will get you soaked. You should be able to do most if not all of the things in a day.
