Help - trying to renew annual passes with DVC discount online?

I'm trying to renew our annual passes. They only expired today, so I am still within the time period allowed to renew. When I log onto WDW's website and go into the passholder site, I am able to enter our pass numbers and the correct info comes up (i.e. DVC Annual Park Hopper), however when I click to renew, it says that the event is sold old - it only gives me the option to purchase new passes without the discount. It also only gives the option for Premium Passes for DVC members - which is not what we want.

I tried logging onto DVC's webiste as well, but when I follow the links it again only allows me to purchase a new pass and not renew the ones I have.

Does anyone have any suggestions - if not, I guess I'll just call to renew them - thought that it would be much easier to do it online (not having to sit on hold with a 2 year old and 3 month old at home because it seems like every time I get on the phone someone needs my attention;)).
 
Normally it is very easy to do online as I've done it a few times right before a price increase. Not sure why it's not working for you! Most of the time I do them in person, but sometimes I find myself paying in advance to save money before an increase in fare. Good luck.
 
Same exact thing happened to me. I ended up calling, made my purchase, and was given a transaction number to pick up my renewals at Guest Services. I used the number at the MK Guest Services in early February. They wanted my ID and it worked fine. Was initially frustrating, however.
 
Same happened to me when I tired to renew in Jan, tried for a month finally called and renewed and told them! HA. so this has been going on for awhile and still not fixed...:confused3
 

Yep..happened to me as well. I had to call in Feb to renew my dh's. And I had to call to renew mine a few days ago. However, now, when I go to the AP site, I see my AP listed twice...and nothing for dh, even though I entered his. I tried calling MS today to make sure his was listed as renewed but the CM couldn't tell me that. She connected me with Disney ticketing directly...and they had a 30 min wait time on hold!!! Yeah, I wasn't sitting there, phone in hand, for 30 mins to see if MS had done what they said they had done. I really don't want to get to WDW and have them tell me they have no record of my purchase..and that I'll have to buy a new AP for dh. And of course, can I find the conf number they gave me??? Nope.
 
Thanks for the replies everyone. At least now I know it wasn't just me! I guess I'll call to renew since we won't be back onsite until May. Disney could cut back on their call wait times drastically if they just fixed their online glitches:)
 
You know I was thinking about this and it has been going on awhile...then I thought they probably out source this service and the information that the site is not working never gets passed along....Or they just don't care they still get your money. On a side note , when you renew online they send you and email with the confirmation number to use at GS and I asked about having that done and they will not do it they just give you an number that you hope you don't lose.
 
Having same issues. My problem is I don't have enough numbers on the back of my passes for the boxes required. Thoughts?
