Hi. I've been planning on going to Disney World from Sat, Nov 12 to Sat, Nov 19, 2016. Looking at the 2016 crowd calendars, Veterans day falls on the Friday before our arrival and Jersey week is also scheduled on Nov 10-11. Will the crowds be extremely high for the first few days of our vacation? Would you recommend changing my week? This will be our first DW trip for the family; me & hubby, 2 kids; son will be 5 and daughter will be 4. Thanks!

Where are you seeing 2016 crowd calendars? I'd wait until easyWDW.com comes out with its November 2015 calendar (which should be in a couple weeks) and see what it says; it should be just about the same for next year.

On **************.net
It has my week ranked as low, but because of Veterans day and Jersey week both fall on my weekend, I think/assume the weekend will be super busy. On the same website it also states that crowds are increased if Veterans day and Jersey week fall on the same weekend, I would just like some insight by approximately how much. Is it significant? If anyone has experienced this and can help with their feedback I'd really appreciate it. I would delay my trip and go Monday to Monday (Nov 14-21) but that falls into the week of Thanksgiving. Not sure if the crowds start at the beginning of the week for Thanksgiving though or only start on the Thursday? Or another week option is Oct 22-29. I'm so confused. I don't know which week would be best.

Are you really talking 2016? Or, do you mean 2015? The crowd calendars for this coming October just came out, so that is confusing. I believe Jersey week is very very crowded. I would go the October week rather than the Veterans Day/Jersey week combo.

Yes 2016. LOL. I am a planner. I will be booking my flights with Aeroplan airline points and in order to find the direct flights available on points for all four of us, we need to book the plane tickets as soon as they become available, which is almost 1 year in advance. So I will be booking my trip for next year this fall.

Oh, okay. Wow! You are a planner! Yes, crowds over that first weekend will be high. But, Sunday should get better. I guess it would depend on when you arrive and what you expect to do on your first day or so. The rest of the week shouldn't be too bad.

I wouldn't change your week. You picked it because it best suited your plans, and Jersey Week crowds aren't all that bad. We've had several trips down during that time period and while crowds have grown due to the fact that people on boards have stated it's a great time to go it's still not as busy as other holidays (Thanksgiving, Week after Christmas, Spring Break, etc.) Just beware of going to Food and Wine at Epcot as this is usually right around the last weekend which tends to get a bit packed.

We are also going in November of 2016. Want to be there for the lights at Hollywood Studios - also don't want to get jammed up with Veterans Day and Jersey week. We are thinking either Nov. 5-12 or the 12-19. Im not clear on what week "Jersey" week would be Nov 7-11 they will be out of school?

We went last year Nov 1-10 and Jersey week was scheduled during that time. We didn't notice an issue due to that at all. We did notice a crowd during the food and wine festival in the World Showcase in the later afternoon evening hours. The young college coed ages and business people flocked to that area to enjoy wine and food and it was hard to navigate at some points. I would avoid Epcot on the weekends and try to do ws early as possible.

We've been in 2006, 2007, 2013 and 2014 (and another summer trip years before that). Every trip seems more crowded than the previous but the Sept-Nov is still manageable without issues.
