Hello!

We are booked on the Disney Med cruise for next year, but we plan on flying into London Gatwick (from Florida) and then taking a train down to Disneyland Paris for a few days before heading down to Barcelona. Can anyone give us any advice on which train to take to Paris and then Barcelona and then how to get back?

Should we fly between London and Paris, or take the train? What about Barcelona from Paris? Should we get a RailPass?

Thanks in advance!!

We are flying into London via LAX, taking the Eurostar train from London directly to Disneyland Paris Resort, then flying out of Paris to LAX. Eurostar has a website...sorry don't know the URL offhand...just do a google. I don't know about Barcelona. :thumbsup2

London to Paris is probably best by train as the Eurostar (very efficient service) takes you direct to Disneyland (Marne La Vallee) in under 3 hours - can be booked online, www.eurostar.co.uk.

Paris to Barcelona I'd probably fly - Paris Charles De Gaulle airport is only a 10 minute train journey (or you can get a bus transfer) from DLP.

There's a sticky on this site giving more detail on shuttles trains etc. to the airport.

The French TGV train is great, so you could go by train down through France which would mean you'd see some more of the countryside, but even with airport check-ins etc. it will take longer than flying, if time is important.

I found a train that runs from Paris to Barcelona, but it runs overnight.

Which airline would you recommend to fly from Barcelona back to London?

For that short hop you should be able to get a decent price from the major airlines, so try british airways - www.britishairways.co.uk. Or look at Barcelona airport website and see what other airlines fly to London.

From the budget airlines I know easyjet - www.easyjet.co.uk flies to London Stanstead.

Beware though, make sure it is Barcelona airport, eg Ryanair says it flys to Reus (Barcelona) which is a good trek down the coast - Girona is equally far if not further.

In London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead, City are all close are have good transport links - Luton is a bit further out
