So my fiance and I will be arriving in DL the Friday after Thanksgiving We won't be staying on property but at the Best Western Plus for the next 9-nights. I don't have us visiting the parks until the weekdays, but thought for a fun first night we would go have a few drinks at Traders Sams at the Disneyland hotel

So with that in mind my question is...

Since I know the hotel will be busy due to the holiday what do you think would be the best time to go without having a long line to get inside?

We arrive LAX at noon and will be taking a shuttle ot our hotel. I had planned on enjoying the pool/hot tub if it is nice when we arrive then cleaning up and exploring DTD before we head to the bar.

Any thought will be great. I am a WDW expert but am completely out of the loop with DL

I don't know the patterns well enough to answer you accurately, but I can tell you that I was there Monday night right after WoC when both parks closed at 8:00, and was expecting TS to be quite busy. It was maybe 1/3 filled, and with regulars, or so it seemed. Lots of CMs go there, and the mood gets raucous, in a good, fun way. We had a great time.

I imagine busier times of the year will present higher crowds.

I was there on Thanksgiving evening, this past year and it was almost empty! It was very warm evening and we sat ouside, very enjoyable!
Have fun!

Thanks guy! All good news. Have you had the Uh Ah drink? It looks awesome. Would you recommend eating dinner there as well? Or should we just eat in DTD if we are on a budget?

Hope you had a great time and sounds like you lucked out with the crowds.

We were there two weeks ago, and it was a thursday night the place was almost empty.

We had 4 drinks and 2 appetizers (this was our dinner) and we racked up at 100.00 bill. So the place is not budget friendly, but I think is worth every penny for the fun atmosphere, cooky cocktails and great CMs.

have fun !!

When we dropped in for a couple of beers during our visit at the end of February, we found the place only about half-full (or was it half-empty?) at about 2 to 3 p.m. That place is really small though, I can imagine that it doesn't take much for it to fill up. In fact, we were surprised at just how small it is inside there. Disney usually doesn't do anything this "cozy". Maybe we were expecting a reincarnation of the Explorers Club?

Kungaloosh!
