OK, I'm confused!

There are so many things to choose from when we are at DW, I don't know where to begin. This is our first trip EVER. We will be there from 10/30-11/3. Not long enough, I know, but at least we get to be there! (We won the trip!)

So far the character dinings I think we are doing are Cinderella's Royal Table...breakfast, Chef Mickey's....dinner, 50's prime-time lunch. Then our "maybe" list is Liberty Tree Tavern and The Garden Grill. How does that sound? What are the ice cream socials I keep hearing about? Where are they?

I'm not a big breakfast fan, but want my DD (11) to see Cinderella, as she has ALWAYS been a big fan! Any other suggestions? What is the Hoop-Dee-Doo (sp?)? How much is it and is it worth it?

My husband may want to do some dinner shows. Any suggestions?

THANK YOU for your help! I just want this to be fun, but not miss "the best" of Disney!

Steph. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Have you thought about doing MNSSHP?

We are also going to be down during this time and are planning on going Trick or Treating at MK! It's a separate ticket event and from what I hear very very fun!

Good Luck with getting CRT! Remember start calling right away! It fills up quickly. If you don't get it try the Norway one.

Don't forget the Food & Wine Festival is on at that time too! I hear you can munch your way around the world! If you are doing this, it is recommended that you don't make a PS for that day since you fill up quickly.

Hoop De Doo is fun! I think well worth the price!

You can get more infor from allears

Have Fun and don't worry, a short trip is better than none!

Hope this helps somewhat!

If you can't get CRT breakfast, you can also see Cinderella at the dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The other characters aren't princesses though, it's usually Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, and two of the mice.

My DD, almost 3, is very excited about dining with the princesses and Mickey. Unfortunately, I hadn't even made our travel plans by the 90 day mark so we weren't able to get a PS for CRT breakfast. I did get one easily for the PSB in Epcot and am considering trying for the dinner at 1900 Park Fare since that is the only other meal where Cinderella is present.

I haven't given up hope of getting a PS for CRT since I've been reading threads indicating it can happen after the 90 day mark but didn't want to count on it so will keep the PSB PS until I do have CRT PS confirmation "in hand".

If I were able to do this again and had my plans ready in time for the 90 day mark, I think I'd try to get a couple of CRT PSs for different days so that I could later have more flexibility in planning which park, which day and at what time. Then, of course, once I had that planning finished and final, I'd post a note on the DIS board about the CRT PS I was cancelling :) I've seen similar posts and have thought that it was a very nice thing to do - even if I haven't been able to take advantage of that knowledge... yet.

Ok, since you have a short time, here's how I would start...
Sketch out which park or parks you plan to be at each day. From there you can decide where to eat on which day and schedule the PS based on that....

Except CRT -- try for that each day. If you get one day, you are very lucky and you can schedule other things around it!

Are you staying on site? If so, you should plan your days around going to the EE parks that you are interested in. If not, avoid EE parks on their EE days.

MNSSHP would be fun for you and would give you an extra chnce to visit MK. Is it just you, DH and DD 11?

What time are you arriving? When are you departing? That will affect how muych time you hav eint he parks on your travel days -- and where to plan your meals.

You've picked great choices. All would be fun, if you can fit them in. As for the Hoop De Doo, I went as a kid (about 10) and still remember it. It was highlight -- but with limited time, you might want to skip it.

The Ice Cream Social is held at the Garden Grill daily at about 3 pm, with characters. It is about $8.00 per person (adults and children). To me this is not a must do, but I'm sure it would be enjoyable. It gets mixed reviews -- but I loved character meals and can't imagian it could be *bad.*

Anyhow, tell me more - times, ages, etc...and i'll give you some more feedback. And get ready to start calling tomorrow at 6:58 EST to try for CRT. The others you'll be able to set up without much difficulty.

Oh, and one more thing, if you don't get CRT for breakfast, here's a few options:
* to eat in the castle - book CRT for lunch or dinner, pricey but pretty.
* to eat with other princesses - book the SOtry Book PRincess breakfast in Norway in Epcot
* to eat with Cinderella - book the Park Fare 1900's character dinner at the GF

Hope that helps!

I don't know if it's even available anymore, but last year, we made PS at LTT for 5:45 and then attended MNSSHP at 7PM. It was fabulous! Even if you can't eat at LTT, don't miss MNSSHP! It is worth every penny.

Hey Steph,

I am with you on all of this, my dates are Oct 30-Nov 2, even less time! First time for DD and MIL, also 4 others going with us that live in FL.

I am going to MNSSHP for sure, the tickets are still available.

I am having the same problem with the 90 days, cant figure what park we will be in what day ! Yikes ! I may od what was suggested by NoodlesTheRabbit, that way I know I will be in the park for the party, so dinner with the characters is solid and I take care of that all in one.

SnoWhiteRabbit,

Great info, I am so confused and do not know what end is up. I think we want to do MK,AK and Universal , only need passes for those parks and they do not sell them for 2 days .. hmmm

Also confused about FL res rates, my SIL is from FL, but the hotel is in my name, so does that mean we can not use the FL rates ? I read for passes that each FL res had to show ID. hmmm

confused here :earseek:

PEacefulgirl,
Sorry I don't know anything about FL rates. As for the two day pass, not sure what to recommend. Have you been to Disney much? If not and you only have 4or 5 days, I would just go with WDW -- there is great stuff to do at Epcot & MGM -- or you could even add in a water park if you go with park hopper plus passes! We just stick with the world when we go -- seems to work well -- PLENTY to do and it makes it cheaper and easier to go with a park hopper pass. I would really only consider adding US if I've been to WDW several times or had a long time for a trip. JMO.

If you do stick with just MK and AK, you could get two single park, single day passes. You can read about ticket prices and options here:

Hope that helps.

Steph,
Congrats on getting Cindy's!princess: Good luck on the rest.
