Hello,
Can anyone give me some good ideas/tips on counting down the days until we leave for WDW???? My 3 yo DS keeps thinking we are leaving everyday and ends up crying when he goes to school and not the airport....so I was wondering if there is anything that we can do that would help him understand counting down until we leave, telling him we only have 8 more weeks is not working..... :) Thanks guys :thumbsup2

How about a paper chain and have him cut a link before bed. He knows when the last link is cut he goes to bed and he will be heading to disney the next morning. :)

We had a very simple solution for our DD- we got a big desk calendar and at the end of each day we would make a big 'X' to mark it off. It was a good visual for her- it helped her understand better and she was excited to mark off each day. I know that there will be some really great, much more creative ideas (that I can't wait to hear about :thumbsup2 ) from fellow disers!!!

We did the paper chain, I've actually got a sample of ours.

You can copy & paste it, then resize it to the full sheet of paper, and print them out. (Or save the pic and print it that way.) My kids loved tearing them off. HTH.

We have our Disney toys from the Happy Meals, cereals and a plane all lined up on DS's bookcase in his room. We take one away each night and the last one is the plane. We did this for our trip last fall and we are going again at the end of next month and he can't wait to start the count down. He already has them all lined up! :)
