I need your help! I just snagged a dinner res for BOG at 4:10pm but have a 7DMine Train FP good from 4:15pm to 5:15pm. Is there anyway we can do both?

Apologies if put this in the wrong section, but I thought I'd start with an audience who might have some insight into BOG. We've never been! :)

I doubt it. Even with the reported (not guaranteed) 15 min late grace period for that FP+, I just don't see you making it. You can't do the FP early, and getting into, ordering, eating, and out of BoG in less than an hour just seems unlikely.

BOG dinner is a sit down with a waiter/waitress, so no. If it was BOG lunch, I would say maybe. Choices, choices!

I think you'd be taking your chances if you kept both. You could try showing up for BOG 10 minutes early and seeing if you get out in time. You will most likely have a 15 minute grace period for the 7DMT FP+ which pushes it to 5:30 pm. Or you could go to 7DMT at 4:10 pm and ride (will probably take about 10 - 15 minutes) and then see if they will seat you at BOG.

Thank you all so much for the advice! Wondering... could we just order desserts at BOG instead of having dinner? Let's be honest: My 7 year old and 9 year old are going to be more interested in the sugar than the French onion soup. ;-) I'm wondering if that would help shorten our timeline. Mostly I'd like to experience the atmosphere of the restaurant (and possibly see the Beast) vs. having a full meal. Thoughts and other suggestions are welcome!

If all you want is dessert, then you have a chance. When you order, ask for the bill and settle up. You can always take a cupcake with you if someone is taking their time eating it.

This! Go now, and show up a few minutes late for BOG. This way, you don't have to worry about any upset stomachs from riding 7DMT right after eating (if any of you are sensitive to that sort of thing).

We have been unable to access any FP+ early this week. We have had to wait for the exact time.

what do you want more? A nice dinner or a stressed rush to try to get to 7D?

I would pick one or the other or keep trying for different times

that much stress takes the fun out of it for me. I don't want to be looking at my watch and telling family to eat faster we are going to miss XXXXX

(when did Disney become such a stressor???? I hate it!)

Keep both but don't stress. Go to BOG (a bit early) and enjoy. Maybe you'll be seated around 4 pm. If you happen to get out just before 5:25pm or so, head directly to SDMT. It's just a few minutes away. If dinner is taking longer than anticipated, think to yourself...... oh well, I'm just missing a one and a half minute ride.

Thank you all for the wonderful guidance and suggestions!

@beesly After much internal debate, I decided to let my kids decide. I went over our options, and though tempted by a possible Beast appearance, they voted to ride 7D and not have a sit-down meal during our MK time. Democracy in action I guess.

Thank you all again for the advice and options. Hope you have a magical day!
