HELP!!! Ticket advice/info needed...
My family and I are going to be in Disney World this summer for 8 days and 7 nights. We are also DVC members and will likely be back again some time within the year...We need some advice on tickets.
First question: Would it be advantageous for us to purchase premium annual passes for WDW if we will be there at least 12 nights within the next 365 days? Or, should we stick with our usual Ultimate Park Hopper? We do go to all the parks and the water parks, so we need full access.
Second question: Can a family purchase one annual pass and let different people use it throughout the year? Exp: If I bought the annual pass and used it for the first vacation, could my brother use it three months down the line for a golf weekend? Obviously, only one person at a time, but would it be possible to share within the family?
Thanks so much for any help/advice you can give us!!!

is usually breakeven for ap's and can only be used by owner.
fingerprint scan is used to verify user check mousesavers.com for info on tickets and their breakevens.

IF you are heavy into the water parks and/or DisneyQuest then a Premium Annual Pass might be right for your family. We used to get the regular Annual Passes but since our kids now crave the water parks and DisneyQuest I did the math and upgraded to PAP. With the recent price change I’m not sure where the break even point is but it used to be around 9 or 10 days, depending on what passes you were looking at.

Annual Passes also entitle you to lots of discounts, generally 10% to 20% on some meals and merchandise. There are often MAJOR room discounts too. Generally only one person in your group needs to have a pass to get the discount.

Another bonus is that if you lose your AP all you have to do is show Guest Relations a photo ID and they'll give you a replacement. Try that with a Park Hopper! :D

You absolutely CANNOT use the pass for more than one person. Every adult annual pass (over 10 years old) gets a finger scan associated with it. According to the info you get with the pass: "The owners of the Walt Disney World Resort reserve the right to revoke the Premium Annual Pass if it is presented for admission by anyone other then the Passholder of record or if the Passholder violates the policies of the Walt Disney World Resort."

If you think you'll be back within a year definitely go for the annual pass! Do you also go to Disney Quest? If so, go for the Premium AP, if you do the parks and water parks, but not DQ then you may be better off with an AP plus a water park AP. Mary has a list of all the prices on mousesavers.com Here . You might want to take a look and compare.

Purchase APs if you are there nine days or more in a year. The other discounts (there are many) are an added bonus.

Purchase PAPs only if you are going to regularly frequent the water parks or very interested in water parks, Pleasure Island and Disney Quest.

I have an AP question -

I bought a 7-day UPH pass online at a discount. Could I pay the difference and upgrade my pass to an AP at the park?

I believe you can upgrade any unused portion of ticket media. Go to guest services at the park.

You have to do it within 7 days of the first use of the ticket and before the pass itself runs out, for instance if you had a 6 day park hopper and used all 6 days then came in on the 7th day to upgrade you would be out of luck. if you came in on day 6 you could upgrade. you would pay the regular price of the annual pass minus what you had paid for the hopper and the annual would start the first day you used the hopper.
You can also do it before you have used the hopper at all.

Thanks everyone! That was really helpful information.
As t turns out, the PAP may be the best option for our entire family afterall. Good to know!
