Help!! This is confusing me

I just closed on a resale of 150 pts. today. It has an August UY and all 150 pts. are still availablle from Sept. 2005 and all coming in 2006. But, we also are getting 48 banked pts. from 2004. Does this mean that we have until July to use the 48 pts. or did we already lose them. We have not even received anything from DVC yet since we only closed today. Any help would be appreciated.

Congrats and WELCOME HOME!!!

When your 48 2004 points were booked, they PERMANTELY became 2005 points. Thus they became available to your contract on August 1st 2005 (along with your regular 150 points) and they expire the last day of July (31st) 2006. They must be used for a vacation that completes by July 31, 2006, not a later reservation made by July 31, 2006.

Actually that helps alot. But I'm going to get some more out of ya. The 150 pts. that became available Aug. 2005, do they have to be banked by me since I will not be using them until 2006? Since the original owners had a trip planned, we were only able to close after Dec. 1. Nevermind the question I think you actually answered it before!

Yes, you need to specifically bank your 2005 points if you want to. However, you can only bank your 150 2005 points. The additional 48 from 2004 cannot be rolled over again.
