HELP! Teacher Moving Gift Ideas

Help! My son's daycare teacher is moving to HAWAII!? from VA and I want to get her something.. But since she is moving far, I don't want anything big or bulky.. For another teacher that left (sad two in three weeks - but we are in a college town) I made a flower pot with his hand prints that said "thanks for helping me grow" and had "flowers" coming out made of candy and one paper with his picture and one with a starbucks gc.. So I want creative but not too big.. I was thinking a itunes gc (since I'm sure she would listen to music on the flight?) and not sure what else? HELP! THANK YOU

We had a daycare teacher that also moved out of state.

Since we are in Wisconsin, we gave this teacher some "cow-print" hot pads. We tried to get something that matched the state, and that would be useful.

Is there a something from your Virginia that would be sort of similar?

I think the giftcard is a great idea as your right she won't want anything to big. Do you have a picture of her and your son together. You could use it to make a nice card put the gift card inside and she would probably really appreciate it.

Or find out what city she is moving to and get a gc to a restaurant. You can buy them online. Some friends did this for me when we moved and it was nice to go out since we didn't have our kitchen in order and were tired from unpacking.

I LOVE the restaurant idea.. Just wish I wasn't so late in all this (I need this by tomorrow).. I'm definitely going to do itunes and was thinking maybe a little travel package (magazines, snacks, candy, etc).. Trying to stay within budget, but still looking for a creative thank you.. I was thinking a card with his handprints.. I like the "Thanks for helping me grow" that I did on the flower pot.. So maybe I'll make flowers out of the handprints?
