Help! Taxi from POR??

We have an 8am ADR for Trattoria al Forno on April 28. I'm thinking the easiest option is probably to just get a taxi ride there and back (it is our departure day and I'm assuming MDE will come for us around 11). So....how do I do this? A friend said we can just go to the front desk at POR....and there are always taxis. Is this true? If so, how do we actually access them? Or is she wrong and we need to call somewhere to arrange a taxi? If so, how far in advance should we do this to be sure they will pick us up and get us there in time? Anyone have a taxi service they recommend (are there more than one!?)

Sorry for my stupid questions! I obviously live in a city where taxi use isn't a common thing

Yes, the CMs at Luggage Assistance can call a cab for you at POR. Then, Bell Services at BW can get a cab for you as well. For an 8am ADR, at BW, I would be at Luggage Assistance by 7:30.
Disney uses only Mears for cabs.

If you have an Android or I-phone and no kids under 6, Uber or Lyft will be cheaper -- possibly even free on the first trip if you sign up with a referral code. You will need to download the app and set up your account prior to your trip. You should be ready to go and request your ride maybe 10 minutes earlier to allow time for the driver to reach you, but they will pick you up either at your building or at the front lobby -- your choice.

I can't say for sure! Maybe $15 or so.
