Hey! My DD is 10 and DS is 12...I'm leaning toward Ohana but would they love Sci Fi better? DD doesn't eat a lot of meat...how are the veggies at Ohana? I don't know which one to choose? :confused3

Hmmmm thats a tough one. I think there might be more options for your DD at Sci Fi, since she doesnt eat a lot of meat. They have a new menu too. More options for vegetarians. plus they now have sweet potato fries! :) its a really fun place. I think they will like it. My vote goes for Sci Fi! :thumbsup2

Sci FI is a lot easier reservation to score as well!

ohana! if your child doesn't like their selections, a chef will help you out with the child/allergy/vegetarian, etc...

i like sci fi better for lunch.

My daughter is a vegetarian and 'Ohana is her favorite restaurant. I would choose it over the Sci-Fi in a heartbeat.

My kids were 15, 13, and 10 on our last trip and we did both O'hana's and Sci Fi....honestly the kids didn't "get" Sci Fi! :rotfl: They thought the cars were cool but the movies? they thought they were lame... it's a loop of black and white clips and commercials....got old really quick. We are heading back in a week :thumbsup2 and we are returning to O'hana's ....not Sci Fi.

For dinner I'd go with Ohana. But.... because of the age of your kids you will be paying the adult price for your kids and is your DD going to eat $33 worth of veggies and noodles? Sci-Fi is great but we've never had dinner there, we usually eat there for lunch and I can't speak about non-meat options since we are a family of carnivores.

Sci Fi, so fun and the food was good also. You do it for the experience, or if you are Dd you do it every trip. We each pick 1 favorite Ts and then the others need to be new ones to our family. Her pick is Sci Fi every time!

I would probably go with Ohana. Sci-Fi is fun and has a great atmosphere, and if you need a HS TS, then you might want to do that rather than leaving the park to go to the Polynesian. But if you think you'll be done with HS by dinner time or you were interested in Sci Fi more for the atmosphere than for a meal for a HS day, then Ohana may be a better option.

I absolutely love Ohana and I really like Sci-Fi. As a 12 year old I would have hands down picked Sci-Fi. When can you eat in a car in an 'outdoor' movie theater. And, on top of that there are more vegetarian options. Can you show your child info. on the two and have him/her decide or give input?

'Ohana.

We ate at Sci Fi Dine-In last year and hated it. We got the ribs, and those were the worst ribs I've ever eaten!!! The atmosphere is fun there. We're trying it again, maybe. But definately eating something else.

But the food at 'Ohana is really good. Plenty of choices.

Sci-fi's atmosphere is really cool. The shakes are awesome, the food is okay.
Ohana...BREAD PUDDING!!!! :lovestruc and we normally don't like bread pudding! Veggies are good and the noodles are sooo good!

I would have to pick Ohana....

I see where you are going in less than 2 weeks, do you have an ADR for either yet?

100 % OHANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our most recent experience at the Sci-Fi was slow service, cold food, and long waiting with reservations. I think everyone in your family will love Ohana!

sci fi food is about the same as the crappy quick service food in the parks.burgers/ fries type stuff....go with ohana where the food is really good

Wow! Y'all are so helpful!! I made a ressie at Ohana months ago so we have it, but this week I was worried so I also made a ressie at Sci Fi! I'm just having a hard time deciding, Ohana is really sounding good, though! Can anyone tell me more about the shows? I didn't even know they did that!!!

Ohana has a gentleman that walks around with a ukulele singing Hawaiian songs. He'll invite the kids up to do a coconut/broom race and limbo. The food is really good and you will probably leave super stuffed. At Sci-Fi they have old B-rated (i.e. cheesy) sci-fi movies playing on a large movie screen. There are such classics as "The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman", Tom & Jerry, "The Amazing Colossal Man", etc.
