We leave Sunday for WDW and had originally planned to just rent a DW stroller for our 5 yo DD, but now I'm wondering if we should buy one, based on some threads I've read. She's tall for her age and weighs about 50 lbs., so I was worrying that she might be too big for the single DW stroller. Didn't want to have to buy one just for this trip, but if it would be better to do so, I guess I will run out and get one (too late to get one on the internet). What do you think?
Thanks!
(Mom who is now starting to panic!)

I'd probably buy a Maclaren. They have good resale value. With the price of rentals up, depending on how long your trip is, it may cost you less to just buy and you'll have it for back and forth to the parks, around the parks etc. My son will be just shy of 5 on our trip and we'll bring our Mac for him. He's almost 50 lbs and a good 43" tall and still rides fine in it and it still pushes great.

I'd borrow or looked for a used one at a good price on craigslist. A used maclaren you can probably resell after your trip for about what you paid for it. I have found strollers to be so handy for the airport, that I take a stroller with us.

I agree with the others - check out the Maclaren Volo. It has a high weight limit and is relatively inexpensive. Check BRU or Target. And you can resell it afterwards.

I wouldn't rent, it is expensive if you are going to be there several days. (15 dollars a day). You can buy a pretty nice umbrella stroller at toys r us with a little canopy for about 30 or 40 dollars.
