Hi Everyone!

I was feeling very confident about my choice of stroller until yesterday and now I'm not so sure. I have a 4 year old and a 3 month old. The 4 year old loves to walk, but also passes out quite frequently in the stroller and likes to take long naps in it. I obviously need a stroller for the 3 month old, but also plan on taking the baby carrier. I decide to purchase a Maclaren Techno XL double stroller since it was smaller than most doubles, easy to walk around and could also infant and big kid compatible. I think we'll be just fine during the day, but my worry is at night...

My 4 year old has a tendency to fall asleep right before dinner and sleep through the whole thing and the baby tends to do the same thing. I originally thought that they wouldn't make me wake up sleeping kids to bring them in restaurants but now i'm not so sure! Now I'm worried I should bring two single strollers and the double? I would like to keep them sleeping if at all possible during dinner so we can all enjoy it. Any thoughts on this?? Have you ever had restaurants force you to wake up your sleeping kids for dinner?

The two single strollers that I have are the City Select jogging and the Orbit Baby. Both are pretty annoying to bring on the plane. The Orbit only has a car seat attachment for a baby and my little guy doesn't love being in it for too long especially in the heat so I would still need to bring the Maclaren if I decided to bring the Orbit.

HELP!

We're also bringing a double maclaren. If you're worried they'll sleep through dinner, plan to eat at your resort food court or a quick service location with outdoor seating. That way you can recline them and roll them right up to the table. Enjoy your trip.

Most TS restaurants in my experience do not allow strollers in, so it depends on where you are going to be eating.

We are doing all TS for dinner. In the past with just the single stroller they have always let my son sleep in it through dinner, but I'm concerned about the double...

Even with a single stroller there is a possibility you will not be allowed to have it in the restaurant. They have to consider the isles and such for safety of servers and other guests as well as fire code.

I've never seen a double stroller at any Disney restaurants besides quick service outdoors locations.

The only remedy I see here is to rearrange your meal times to work for your children's schedule. They'd more than likely both need to come out of the stroller every time.

I would stick with the double as it will be easier in the long run. They did allow us to take the double in Mama Melrose and Raglan Road when my kids were sleeping through dinner.

My stroller wasn't a double but my son was asleep during our BOG reservation (lunch) and they allowed me to bring him in the stroller. I was shocked that they were so accommodating. I can't tell you if that would happen everywhere but that was my experience.

Thanks guys! That's what I'm hoping!

We're taking the double and we'll take the Orbit Baby just incase. I figure I'll start the first few with the double and it doesn't work out then we'll just switch to the Orbit that I can take the seat out of and put on a high chair if need be. Better safe than sorry I guess!
