I am in a quandary. I'm arriving Christmas Day at 6pm to MCO, riding ME to SSR, and have a 9pm ADR for Christmas dinner at California Grille. I know I'm really cutting it close, esp. if there's any delays at any stage of the transportation end of it, not to mention checking in! And darn it if Mickey and Minnie aren't doing a meet and greet at SSR lobby between 7 and 9 that night!
So, my question is, which would be quicker...to walk to DTD and hop a bus to CR? Or to hop a SSR bus to MK and take the monorail to CR? I think that whatever minutes I can shave here will help (I may be kidding myself ;) ).

I would take the bus to MK and walk/monorail to CR. But if you're really in a hurry, take a taxi. It will only take 10-15 minutes!

I totally agree. If time is short, take a taxi. If not, take the MK bus and walk to CR. The MK bus drop area is on the CR side of MK. It is a short walk. You would have to walk up the monorail ramp and then wait for the monorail before getting to CR.

If you are at SSR take any bus to the Congress Park section(ask at the desk). Take the foot bridge to DTD (3-5 min walk) and catch a bus from the 1st bus stop at DTD. You could ask for a map and directions from the front desk at SSR. I think this is the fastest way outside of a taxi, because it is a direct route

Notoriously slow busses...taxi time is much shorter. If you are eating at Cal Grill, I imagine money is not an object, but your time is.

If you flight is delayed you might ask if you can take a DME bus from MCO directly to the CR. I suspect you could even tip CR bell services and store your carryon luggage while you eat.

Unless a MK bus is waiting I'd just grab a cab.

You MIGHT imagine that, but as always, I've overextended my budget on this vacation (I'm usually very frugal, but at WDW, all bets and budgets are off!). Still, these are all very good options, and depending on how the flights and ME goes, I'm bound to use one of these ideas.
Oh, how does one get a taxi? Do I ask at the desk? And do they have taxis that accommodate 5 adults? Thanks again!
