Help someone who isn't a disney pro? 40% off

I got a pin code good for 30-40% off our room. I'd like to take advantage of it, but it still seems so pricey. We went in fall of 2008 during free dining and it seems like it was much cheaper then...even with the % off the room now. does it combine with any other deals?

You cannot combine offers. Disney considers this 'stacking' and won't allow it.

The 40% off is a pretty good deal. With that being said, free dining is usually one of the best deals, but it really depends on the number of people you have on the dining plan, ages, etc. For instance, to some folks a deluxe resort room at 40% off is better than free dining, but free dining at a value or mod might be better than the 40% off. Clear as mud?

Now, if you are looking at going for a full 7 nights & need park tickets, the 4/3 deal at mods & deluxes is even better than the 40% off room (it works out to be about 43% off).

If you book now with the 40% off, and later a different deal comes out (like say, free dining), you can call Disney and see if there is availability at your resort choice and dates for the new offer. After you compare the prices, and there is availability, you can swap to the other deal to make sure you are getting the best discount for your trip.

And your PIN code is probably the one that says 30% for values, 35% for moderates, and 40% for deluxes. That might be another reason that the rates seem high... you are looking at only 30% off a value, rather than 40%.

and as the pp said, the 4/3 is a bit better if you are going to use all the free nights. We are going for 6 nights in March and after pricing it out (yes, including all meals since we had added the DDP) it was nearly $500 cheaper for us to use the PIN code (and get park tickets through the Princess 1/2) for POR... and then we decided to do a split stay with the PIN and got ALK for a couple of nights and still came out cheaper than with the buy 4 deal.

Really, it all depends on your total number of nights and where you will be staying...

YOu can call Disney and heave them price out the different offers available to you - pin and 4/3 - and you can make your choice. I would leave out the DDP on the 4/3 deal for price comparison purposes since the PIN in room only.

And when you call Disney and have them price it all out, if they give you a number you like & need to talk it over with a spouse or something, ASK THEM TO PUT A HOLD ON THE QUOTE. They won't tell you they can do this, but you can ask them to. That way, once you hang up the phone, you haven't lost that particular offer. (Of course this is really on a BIG issue if you are booking last minute, during a busy season, like I did last year. )

That's what I was wondering... I read that and was like WHAT???

I just got my email with most of 2010 on it. Some people would be bouncing off the walls excited...However...I'm not, it doesn't include 3 nights of our stay. Can we use it for 4 of our nights and not the other 3? And jsut pay regular for the other three? We are looking at going over Thanksgiving so I'm guessing we won't get a good deal since it seems there aren't any good deals that cover all of that week. Any one have any encouraging words??

The "Princess" is in reference to the Princess 1/2 marathon the pp is participating in. I'm not sure if they are able to get discounted tickets or not.
