I was just referred to your boards by someone on 2Peas scrapbooking boards. I posted there, and I was told that SOMEONE here could answer me.
Here is my original post... My family and another family went to Disney together in November. While we were in World Showcase we took (seperate) pics of my boys and her girls in the same red phone booth. She swears the pics were taken in United Kingdom, and I swear it was Canada. You can't really tell by the pictures, where it was taken, but if someone could at least confirm that there is in fact a red phone booth in Canada, in front of the big mountain, then that would at least solve my interest. I need to start scrapping my pictures, and I need to know which country I'm scrapping. Thanks so much!
21 replies later, and I'm still not convinced either way. Most people believe it was UK because the red phone booths belong in the UK not Canada. But, some people remember them in Canada too.
Here is my responce after reading the 21 replies... okay, there seems to be an over whelming consenus of UK votes, but luckily there are a few Canadas mixed in. I really have VERY, VERY strong feelings that it's Canada. 1 reason is because we took a picture in the same phone booth when we went there in 2004, but we ONLY visited Canada (we did the totem hole picture too). We went just past the ferry boat launch, then doubled back to the launch to jump on the boat. I can picture it in my mind perfectly. If you are walking past the boat launch on your right, and the lagoon is on your left, you'll see a path go to the right, and it curves in front of the scaled down Canadian Rockies. The phone booth was on the path leading to the mountain. My friend and I have been searching the web, and haven't come to a definite conclusion either way. We've found pictures of the phone booths,(in UK AND in Canada) but none of the pics are of "THE" phonebooth. Another reason I believe it's Canada was mentioned a couples times.... I asked my husband where he thought it was. (I didn't lead him to either side of the debate) he said he just remembered being surprised because it was somewhere he didn't think it belonged. He also remembers (as I do) taking the pictures before my friends went into the Pub. She remembers us taking the pic, when she came out of the Pub.
Can any of you confirm there is in fact, a red phone booth in front of the Canadian Rockies in World Showcase???? Thanks so much!
