HELP! Sheraton Vistana LBV or the Dolphin for a family of five- need to decide by 4pm

Would really like the space but terrified of driving/parking/etc. in Orlando. One bad experience has traumatized me for life! Has anyone stayed at both? I will have pre teens and teens with me. TIA.

If you are terrified to drive don't stay offsite. You will waste alot of money on taxis.

if you think you would be happy in a hotel room together go with the Dolphin - but I think the Dolphin has 2 double (full) beds, the queens are in the Swan - I think - go check on the resort board for sure. the dolphin & swan sponsor that board.

I'm with Spicey..if giving up the extra space means that you will have a restful vacation (in not having to drive) then, stay onsite.

However! If a restful vacation means having room for your kids to spread out, then I'd just factor in the extra cab costs, and call it therapy money

I know doesn't help much, but hope it gives you a smile

I agree with that. You will be very crowded with 5 at the Dolphin. We usually stay there for free on the Starwood points but this year we are moving over to the Vistana since our boys are getting older (12 and 13).

FWIW, I love having a car instead of using the Disney transportation, even when we stayed at the Dolphin. It was really confusing the first year (especially the "Epcot" vs "Epcot Resort" area), but if you pull up a map of the property and carry it with you it becomes pretty simple. Try here:
