We're headed to Disney at the end of October (AND CAN'T WAIT!!). My two children (9 and 6), and my husband and I. I'm actually a semi-professional photographer (meaning I get paid to take photos but not enough yet to quit my full time job as a writer) so I'm bringing my DSLR and possibly a few different lenses with me to Disney, although I plan on using one walk-around lens most of the time.

The problem is this: I want to have some sort of backpack that I can use to hold my camera in as well as some bottles of water/snacks/ect for us during the day, but I'm not sure what works well. I'd greatly appreciate any tips!

Thanks!

I got the Lowepro fastpack 250 for our last trip. It was maybe a little bigger than I needed, but I love it!

The bottom of the bag has a well-padded section for cameras with adjustable compartments. I carried my dslr and video camera. I didn't have any extra lenses at the time, so I filled the extra compartments with rolled up sweatshirts for my kids. The top part of the bag was plenty big to carry snacks, autograph books, water bottle, and everything else I thought we couldn't live a day without. :rotfl: Mine even has a padded area for a laptop (not that I took that to the parks, but it made the bag a great carry-on that could hold all of our electronics).

It's easy to get your camera in and out of the bag while it is still on one shoulder (don't have to take the whole backpack off, lay it down, unzip completely, etc.)

I took my good ol' trusty jansport back pack for our last trip and it will most definately be making the trip again! I carried my DSLR in it as well as extra lenses with out any issues...I did make sure to pack extra gallon sized zip locks and was glad I did for when it started raining. All of the autograph books were in ziplocks, my extra lens was in a ziplock and I even found that my camera fit well in one too.

I also liked that it had seperate pockets so all of our tickets could go in the smallest zipper pocket where I didn't have to dig to find them. I could also have everything organized so when it was time to go through the gate it was easy to see everything that was in there!

we use jansport backpack for the 3 of us. it is myself, dw, and dd(8) and it works perfect for our ponchos, water bottles and camera along with a few small snacks as well.
