Help! searching for stroller with high weight limit.

I've been looking for a stroller for my ds 4yo, who weighs 51 lbs. and is tall. I really only want it for our disney trips. On our last trip I rented a stroller, which was ok but I noticed a couple of times he fell asleep and seemed uncomfortable , so I wanted something he could actually take a nap in if needed. I have seen a few people on the dis mention the maclaren volo with a weight limit of 55 lbs. I was wondering if there are any other strollers with high weight limits out there. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Beleive my when I tell you that I looked at every stroller know to man and ended up buying the Maclaren. I love it too! We don't use it very often, but when you need a stroller for a bigger kid, it is really the best way to go. I saved a couple of bucks and bought mine on ebay. Good luck!

I agree- the Maclarens are the best for big kids. We bought a Volo for our DD just for Disney trips, but if you are looking for one that reclines this wouldnt be it. You would need to get a Triumph or a Quest for a reclining Mac. We just bought a Quest for our newest DD since that one reclines. Got it for $120 shipped on www.albeebaby.com
I like the Volo for an older child. My DD fell asleep in her Volo more than a few times late at night at Disney and we just tipped the stroller back a bit.

We purchased the Peg Perego Plinko 3 unbrella stoller. We chose this stoller because it reclines and has a collapsable tray. It is lightweight and can hold a large child. My son is 2 1/2 but 39 inches tall and he fits in it great. It was between this and the McLauren but the tray table won us over. It is a must have so the toddler doent think he can escape.

I got one too! LOL But I think the are all out now. Wonder what will pop up tomorrow? There was a Pliko Lite yesterday that I would have loved!!

I must be a bad mom.

My kiddo is 4 years / 51 lbs, too. I bought a cheap Walmart umbrella stroller and she sits in that when she's too tired or too lazy to walk. It's got a shade but no basket, which is fine because I carry a backpack with our necessities. At the time her regular stroller was broken and I figured I'd buy a new one after our first trip. Still using it!

I love that I don't care what happens to it. I wrote our name on the handle with a marker, because there are a ton of these.

We used it for 4 trips last year, and have trip 5 scheduled for the fall. The stroller will be coming again!

That's not a bad mom thing. If it works for you, great! I am 5'11" and DH is 6'5" so neither of us can push those $10 strollers without some serious back ache! They aren't an option for us because of that. If they were we probably would have done that for our older kids when they were out of stroller age normally but still used one for WDW.

Thank you all for your replies! I will probably purchase the mac, I did check toys r us website given above but thoses are out of stock. I'll have to keep searching.
As far as the "bad mom" thing, forget it, I also have one of those ten dollar strollers that I use on occasion but I am somewhat tall as well so I just could not spend the entire day pushing that thing with those low handle bars.

TRU has this stroller on sale for $20 (this one is red, there is also a blue one for the same price). I don't know anything about it as far as quality but I'm sure it could survive a week at Disney no problem! You can see a picture of it at this site
