Help....Science Project supply list question....

DS has a list of supplies he needs to take to school for a science project. They are making rockets out of 2 - liter bottles. They are paired in teams and the teams have split the supplies to bring.

DS's list is as follows:

cardboard - (got that covered)
bondo - ??????
stirrer - ??????

Okay, I know bondo is something you use in fixing dents etc on cars and I should be able to pick some up at Auto Zone or similar. The question???? Who knew there were so many different kinds of bondo???? (I looked online) I have no idea which one they need.

The stirrer, there was a picture on Auto Zones website of a stirrer/spreader tool so I am guessing that is what he needs.

I know the other team member is supposed to bring 2 2-liter bottles, sand paper and something else that I can't recall....maybe a box.


Any ideas?????? What kinds of bondo do I get. I am guessing the cardboard is to cut fins for the rocket and the bondo is to glue them on and DS said the sand paper is to sand the bottle and make it rough so the bondo will stick.

I am confused........when there is more than one choice I need specifics.

All help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! Surely someone out there has done a similar project before.

Bondo can also be obtained at Home Depot and used in building applications. A stirrer - I would get some of the freebie paint stick stirrers when while at Home Depot getting the bondo

The ability to adhere to plastic would be a concern of mine. There may be different mixtures for different materials (metal, plastic, etc.). The type at Home Depot may be specific to wood. (However, I used auto store bondo to fix a rotted picnic table and it worked fine.)
