Headed to Orlando this coming Sunday 11/14 and will be staying at the Royal Pacific. (me, brother in law, and our daughters: 4 people total)

We will be doing the parks on Monday only.

As we are staying on site, it appears we can get in to WWHP an hour early and will be able to skip regular lines.

My idea, obviously, is to do the WWHP experience first (what order should we do the rides there?) then I was thinking of going to US (as they close at 6pm) and then after US, head back to IoA (IoA closes at 7pm). Is there any sense to that plan at all? Would it be a time waster doing that traveling between parks? (I'm an old hand at Disney, but a noobie at Universal.)

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. If there is a particularly good thread that deals with precisely this issue then by all means link away!

Thanks for everyone's help!

If you are interested in seeing the little Ollivander's show, then you should line up for it first since lines quickly build to an hour and never die down. After that, ride FJ and then Flight of the Hippogriff, the two Dragon Challenge coasters and if your stomach can handle it, do FJ again in the single rider line.

After that you can just do the rest of the two parks at your leisure. Crowds should be pretty low.

Leave your bags and purses in the hotel room so you don't have to use lockers as they are required on some rides and will eat up valuable time. If you've got some cargo shorts, store stuff in there. Any loose articles including cross body bags will need to go into a locker.

If you purchase something, have it sent to the front of the park to pick up later instead of hauling it around all day and needing lockers. There is tons of great advice in the "crowds" thread.

As for going back and forth between the two parks, that is easy to do because they're so close together. You could probably knock out Harry Potter early and then hit Spiderman and other headliners in IOA. Then you might want to head over to the Studios for a bit with hopefully no long lines because of the time of year. Depending on stamina it might be nice to go back to Harry Potter just before closing because it's quite pretty as it gets dark.

Thanks, that is all great advice!

Seems like staying onsite is really important if you want to try to get everything done in one day. What rides will avoiding regular lines be most critical?
