Hello,

I am new to the forum so I'm hoping I will post this in the correct place.

We are looking to travel to disney in April 2015 so I have plenty of happy months ahead planning on what we hope to be a fab holiday. We do however feel overwhelmed with all the hotels we have to choose from and wondered if any of my hope to be new friends could help us?

What hotels to you recommend?

:-)

Hi! We are planning to go around that time as well.... hotel choice really depends on a few things....

1. Your Budget. I would start there. Then choose from that grouping.

2. How much will you utilize the resort facilities? I've stayed in both the Moderate and Value resorts. Personally we've never treated a WDW vacation as a relaxing trip. We were out of the room by 10 and home around 11 or 12 depending on the season. In that case the All Star resorts are just fine. Why spend the extra money. They are not glamourous and the food is eh but you are out and about so that doesn't matter.

If you like pool time and will be taking advantage of resort activities n such you may want to go with the moderate or luxury. The All stars leave much to desire when it comes to atmosphere.

I've stayed at all of the Value Resorts except for Art of Animation. I've also stayed at Port Orlean's Riverside, Port Orleans, Coronado Springs, and Carribean Beach.

I can answer further detail if any of those catch your eye.
