Help re World Passport destinations

We have just joined DVC and would like to know how difficult (or easy) it is to use the World Passport hotels. Our guide is pretty vague and only said we shouldn't have a problem. I've been reading all of the questions and comments on this site and have learned more about DVC here than from any other source.

Could anyone who's used these destinations please help us out by letting us know how successful you were in getting your hotel of choice and during the times you requested? (We'd like to use it duiring Christmas and/or Easter.)

most of the world passport are through II (Interval International) and they aren't hotel - they are timeshares.

If the member of the timeshare you want to trade too has traded his to II at the time you want - it is easy.

DVC works pretty well - if the timeshare you want is there but not the week they will generally tell you - so if you want to change plans you can.

Also on this site is the trade/rental DVC board - you can post there and on tug there is a exchange board.
