Help, Questions about 2008 free dining plan

Hi.

I am hoping for some help. We are looking to go with our kids to Disney World in 2008 during the free dining plan promo and have a couple questions

Does anyone know the dates they offer this promo (I had heard it was 2x per year?)

Where should I look for the info to book this promo, on the disney site directly? When is it usually offered (month wise)

Free Dining is offered only for vacations during the heart of hurricane season, late August through September.

The best place to hear about when this promo is offered for sale is right here in this forum. Check back in late April, May, or at the latest June.

In addition you can not book it now. You need to wait for them to announce it, which is usually in late Spring. There is usually about a 6 week window to book for the August/September trips.
It is also not guaranteed that they will offer the free plan again next year.
You could book a package now during that time frame and hope to change if it they do offer free dining in the Spring.

Thanks. How would I know "if" they offered it what dates it would run in 2008?

Your best bet is to keep reading this forum. It's typically one of the first places to learn about the offering.

I would also keep checking the WDW (official) website. We are "bouncing back" in 2008 with free DDP, however, my sister and her family would like to go so we are hoping that September free dining is offered to everyone. I know the UK was offered it, and (most) people staying on the free dining in September 2007 were offered it, so hopefully everyone else "gets a shot at it" too! I think it was April or May that it was announced/offered last time, we booked in May. These boards are also wonderful, I am sure the minute it is offered (if indeed it is) it will be posted!
