Yesterday, I called Disney and booked two rooms at a value resort for August 2014. My husband and I will be staying in one room and our two daughters (ages 21 and 17) in the second room. When I booked the rooms, the agent set it up as two reservations. My name is on the first reservation and my daughter is on the second reservation. When I asked if it could all be on one reservation, he said that each room you book has to be on different reservations.
Now, I am not sure how to handle things on My Disney Experience. He said I would need an account for my daughter and one for myself and then link the reservations. If I do this, when we go to book dining reservations and fast passes will they automatically include everyone?
Our last visit to Disney was in 2000 and I remember how hard it was to get some of the character dining reservations. I just want to make sure I understand how to reserve the dining and fast passes for everyone together so when we reach the 180 day mark I can make reservations quickly and correctly.
It also looks like when paying I will have to pay for each room with a separate transaction. Does that sound right?
I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks in advance!
