HELP! Question about multiple Trip Counters

Recently I posted 3 trip counters on my signature (one was ending pretty soon.)

Well the new one wasnt up for 24 hours when I got a note from a moderator telling me I couldnt have 3. I went and took the 3rd one down but now I have noticed that there at least 2 other people who have 3 counters and have had them for some quite some time. (At least one of these is long time poster).

So my question is..can I have 3 counters? If I cant how come other people are allowed to keep them... and if they are not listening to the mods cant the mods just edit them themselves?

This isnt a vent or a "Hey look what THAT person is doing".. Im just curious and wonder if the mod who wrote to me was incorrect.

I honestly dont know. Just wish I had three trips that I needed counters for...LOL.

Last I read (a few moments ago to be sure, LOL), it is a limit of two timers, at least the way I read it. As for editing, the way I understand it, editing of a post can only be done, on the CB, by the The DIS Moderator Team (whoever that may be?), or WM's; on all the other boards, by the repective board moderators, of the boards they are currently assigned to, and WM's. However, since a timer is part of a signature, only the Super Moderators and WM's could edit/delete those.

So funny you should post this.

In scanning the boards, I've seen some signatures that have been out of bounds of the DIS guidelines, and some of those people posting have been visited before and asked to comply. I can only think that they must have forgotten in their excitement.

The guidelines clearly state:

No more than 35k pixels total
No pictures bigger than 400x400

So, anything that can fit in 400x400 and is within 35k is okay ... some people put a picture, text, picture and that is outside the 400x400 box ... so that is kind of a pain to ask to correct over and over.

Also, the total number of countdowns is 2, no more, and it clearly says in the guidelines that the Tech Team will remove all counters when there are three or more... according to the guidelines. I know that the 3rd one is removed, not all, and still it's replaced.

So, thank YOU for complying with the DIS Guidelines.

I'll put out a reminder .... again ... for those who forgot, and for the newbies who really don't know.
