Here is the breakdown of our family: DH, me, DS (age 7) and DDs (ages 21 months).
We went in Apr/May and did the QS and DH and I shared our meals a lot, etc and it was all good but we were through our snack credits halfway through the trip b/c the girls needed their milk and depending on the place, one milk could be enough for both girls or I would need to get two milks. I started learning the places to get milk (ie. at POR, I'd get it in the gift shop and only use one credit for the little jug because at the food court the cartons would only feed one). The breakfast worked out b/c you can get two drinks but I would get soda and my husband would only need one drink so we'd get 3 milks out of that).
Well, DH is in Iraq and my 13 year old neice who has been soooooooooooo helpful (with me paying her a nice hourly rate) wants to go to WDW. DH is military so we could use the discounted room, etc. So I crunched numbers b/c neice will pay for her ticket and her meals and DDs are free and figured why not?
Now, I can't decide what to do about the meal plan. With QS my reasoning was it was quick and we could leave at any time (ie. when the girls were getting cranky or whatever) without having to wait for a server to show back up with the check, etc. It was ok, but I have to admit I was sick of the chocolate cake dessert with the mickey sprinkles (and I didn't really want the other choices).
So, I'm thinking of the DDP b/c then the girls could get their own child plate at the ts restaurant. I'm just wondering if it's the best deal for us. Also, if I wanted, could I use a TS at a QS place if I wanted?
So, what do you think is the better idea?
