Help - PS2 and OKW TV's?

We've become strictly a DVD family, so the VCR at OKW is really of no use for us. Last year, we hooked up a laptop to the TV to watch DVD's, but the connection wasn't right, so the sound had to play from the laptop. Not to mention I was a nervous wreck that the 3 dds would pull it down, etc.

So, today I had the idea of bringing down their PS2. It will play DVDs and then they can play games as well. My question is will it hook up to the TV at OKW like it does to the TV at home, or do I need to get the adapter?

Thanks for your help. We leave on Thursday and as usual, I can't wait!

Two years ago, my boys brought their PS2 and had no problem hooking it up without an adapter. I don't know if the TV's have been changed along with the furniture and appliances though.

We leave on Tuesday - 12 of us in a Grand Villa. (Whattamynutz?) I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am!

Does it hook up to the TV itself or the VCR? Or to either?

Hmmm... we have an Xbox and BIL has a PS2. It would be great to hook it up in the bedrooms to free up the livingroom for the grownups.

At home, we hook it up straight to the TV, or the VCR, so I know you can do it either way.

Thanks, Dottie. Maybe we'll see you there!

DS has hooked them up before at OKW too. Some of the villas have been changed to DVD players, so you might get lucky.

During our last stay I hooked a PS2 up to the main TV in our resort. Stay before that I'm certain that DW had our camcorder wired into both the living room and bedroom TVs without a problem. Both the PS2 and the camcorder use standard RCA jacks.

Don't remember if either had to be patched through the VCR or if it was direct into the TV. Either way would work.

My only note of caution would be that I'm certain TVs have been swapped in and out of many of the rooms over the years. There's likely very little standardization from one room to the next. But RCA jacks have been the "standard" for such a long time that I'd be shocked to find a hotel TV that didn't have them (other than by design).

We did the same as tjkraz on our last stay....hooked the PS2 up to the main room (family room) tlelevision and it played DVD's just fine!

I checked, and I don't think we could have hooked up either of the bedroom televisions to the PS2.
