I was going to do an autograph book and print it on card stock, but looking at 40 pages and the cost in ink .... :scared1: So I thought I would do it as photos. I uploaded them onto my account to order today as 5x7 size and it has a warning that the resolution is too low. I used the instructions on the How to make an autograph book thread and made sure I enlarged, then saved the image as. Are they meant to be done as 6x4? Is that big enough if it is spiral bound?

BTW, I used mostly ones from Donatalie's shared files and they are all in jpg format.

I will be grateful for any help. :flower3:

I did mine through SnapFish. I did each child a 4x6 book and they loved them!! I think I paid $14/ea. (Not much more than what you pay for blank pages at WDW).

We used sharpie markers and just let the ink dry a little before closing the book after getting an autograph.

They are really nice!

Oh thanks! Was Snapfish print quality good? I have never used them before, although I did have a look on their website last night.

So I assume then that a 6x4 size is fine for the autographs? I have seen it suggested that it may be too small but checking DD's one from last year it looks to be even smaller than 6x4 and the characters didn't seem to have a problem.

I will order the pics after work tonight! :)

Did you have then spiral bound?

Sorry about all the questions

I have had books made at Snapfish and Shutterfly (hardcover and spiral-bound). The quality of both companies was great! The 4x6 size is fine for an autograph book. You will need to use a Sharpie pen for signing them. Having it spiral bound is a bit better because it allows you to open the book so that it is flat, which makes it easier for the characters to sign. If you sign up for their e-mails they will send you special offers for discounts. :goodvibes

Last trip I printed out all my pages more than 200 and bound them and them cut them down to size for my scrapbook. This trip I ordered pictures of them from snapfish and they came out great too. I got them matte so the marker didn't smudge at all. I carried around a small clipboard (from the dollar store) and sharpie and had then sign them on the clipboard. I had all the prints in order in a plastic baggie and then found it before we met the character. Either way works but ordering them as pictures was much easier! Good luck, natalies cards are great. Here's a bonus pic

Thank you for all your replies. Had a rough day today and it's so nice to pop on here and feel the love :grouphug:

I think I will give snapfish a try. The company I was going to order from seems to only do glossy photos which is no good to me. I'm going to take all your good advice. :goodvibes

Oh, and the clipboard is such a great idea! :thumbsup2

winkflash.com has 5cent matte prints I believe the coupon code is prints510 it is on their main page I just ordered the last of mine today

You know... that's a great idea!

I have been trying to figure out how to incorporate all those beautiful autograph cards into an 8x8 book. The resolution (and card size) does not allow the card to be expanded to 8x8 size. And, my kids want to add a picture of them & the character to the autographs - hence 8x8 size. But I just have not been able to figure it out!

Your way looks perfect! This way we'll get get Disney scrapbooking supplies and scrapbook albums while at Disney. And when we're back home, print out the photos, hand everything over to the kids and let them match-up the photos & autograph cards and design their own scrapbook!

Thanks!!
